Fan stopped working in less than 2 years - out of warranty - out of luck!

Buyer beware - We paid to have this beautiful fan professionally installed. Have the light kit also. Less than 2 years after installation, the light still works but the fan will not rotate. We have attempted to troubleshoot without success. We asked Lighting New York for help, and were told sorry, out of warranty. When we invested in a fan that was much more than a Home Depot special, we looked at it like something that would last us a long time. Finding out the Home Depot specials of my past outlived this one by a long shot. Just disappointed. Made in China.... (Note we purchased over $4K of merchandise from Lighting New York - didn't matter to them). Let's see if this review stays up on the LNY site...

Rusted out and not working

It lasted a year, almost. The fan is made of steel with a thin coat of paint. The top started to rust first. The mounts for the blades rusted out next. I tried to save it by neutralizing the rust and painting the rusting areas but then it stopped working. I got about 4 months use out of it. Overpriced, Overhyped, Deceptive marketing.

Great but needs to work on Alexa

Beautiful and quiet. I bought two fans and they are great. I am just surprised they don't work with Alexa or Google. At this price point that should be a given. I am looking for the remote control when everything else is on my Alexa.

Very nice fan

Needed more airflow on our deck. This has it! I like it has a remote and don't have to mount on a wall or use my cellphone to control!

I purchased this fan for an outdoor covered patio to replace an existing Minka Aire fan that had its motor stop working. Unfortunately this fan does not move enough air for the size and did not meet my needs. The width of the fan blades are simply too narrow. Price was reasonable and the build quality is good but I ended up returning it.

Five star Minke Aire fan

Good looking fan that fits with modern, industrial or farmhouse decor. Nice air movement with variable speed settings and direction.

Best fan you’ll ever buy

I like everything about this fan. This is the third Minka Aire fan I’ve bought. I love them. I love their variety of designs and styles for every room.

Purchased this fan and 12-inch Down rod over 12 months ago for our great room. Moves sufficient amount of air on speeds 1 and 2; this results in a quiet operation. Would highly recommend this fan. Planning to purchase another for our master bedroom.

Great ceiling fan!

I have purchased several Minka Aire fans and none disappoint. This fan is great looking, quiet and efficiently cools the room without feeling like you’re in a wind tunnel. I would definitely purchase again.

This is an awesome fan and moves some serious air. We have a home in Florida that needed the highest speed outdoor ceiling fan and this fits the program. We love that it has a remote control, runs 6 speeds and suits our decor with rustic bronze finish.

So dissapointed! After only three months installed ther is already rust. Way too expensive for this to have happened.

Wonderful fan

Replaced an existing outdoor fan. The Minka Aire moves more are at 4 (Med Hi) than the old one did at Hi. Most important, my wife loves the new fan!

Great, Very Quiet fan!

We love this fan! I installed it in out bedroom and it moves ALOT of air with zero motor noise. Lumpen's was very helpful to make sure we got all the right parts for the 45 degree angled ceiling.

Wow!!! These fans are about the best you’re going to find with the correct color, sizing, drop (added a longer extension), and aesthetic appeal!
