Sleek and stylish

I was pleasantly surprised to open the box and see this nice this fan light. It is exactly what I wanted. Quiet and easy to install with options for lighting choices. Love it.

[Rewarded Review] Low profile and quiet

I was mostly pleased with this product. On the positive side it does look nice installed and is much quieter than other fans I have owned. Fortunately, the existing ceiling hole only had to be opened up slightly. The instructions were reasonably clear but required some thought. For instance, I mounted the bottom of the fan housing flush with the sheetrock and not the ceiling joist. I think that allowed the light to be held tighter to the ceiling. It uses a pair of those long two-legged springs to hold the light up to the fan housing. Similar to the springs on a can light bezel. I also had to drill mounting holes on the opposite side of the factory holes since I mounted to the joist by the existing hole. If I had used the provided holes the fan would have been pointing in the wrong direction. This unit was oriented 180 degrees from the fan being replaced. I was slightly disappointed that it did not include wire nuts and the 1/2" conduit protective liner. You have a choice of three light frequencies from bright to soft white. I don't think the LEDs can be changed out. I did not use the night light feature because the existing wiring only had three conductors, Neutral, Black and Orange for the fan.

[Rewarded Review] Quiet and powerful fan for my basement bathroom

I originally got this for the upstairs bathroom. I discovered that in order to install this properly I wanted to install it from the attic. Unfortunately there was no easy access to the old fan housing because of the HVAC system up there. So I opted for my basement bathroom that I recently roughed in.

[Rewarded Review] Pretty powerful bathroom fan light

This bathroom exhaust fan light is pretty powerful. 80cfm is what's it's rated for. It's not as quiet as a Panasonic, but quieter than some other store brands. There is a night light, a regular light, and the fan.

[Rewarded Review] Not for me (at this time)

I ordered this unit to replace a standard can light fixture above my shower. The description said that no attic access was needed, so it seemed like the perfect solution. However, once I read the instructions, I found that I need to cut an approximately 7.6” x 7.3” square hole in the ceiling that must be abutting a joist, so once I start I need to be certain I can finish to avoid a hole above the shower open to the attic. Also, installation requires a 4” diameter duct (not included) that runs away sideways through the ceiling insulation and it cannot have any bends for at least 18”. While I believe this might be something a professional could do from below, I think I want to be able to do a lot of the work from inside the attic and I’m not going to do that during the summer!

The fan is really quiet, although it can remove quite a bit of air. I checked the duct outlet, and I was pleased. This unit is quite well designed. It is really compact for what it can do.

[Rewarded Review] Stylish

I requested this item for a Laundry renovation that I will be completing soon for a client. I have not started this project as of this date but I had shown the client the details online and they were impressed with the product description. This fan/light will be installed in a small Laundry room and used to remove excess heat and humidity. The client was drawn to its simple but stylish appearance while being able to exhaust the room.

This is a nice light/fan combo with nightlight feature. The box mentions "easy installation with no attic access required" however you may need to work from above to connect wiring and ductwork for the exhaust fan. There are a few things to keep in mind, the mounting system requires the duct outlet to be on the right hand side of the fan from the mounting position, this may cause some challenges if replacing an existing fan, also if replacing a fan with hanger bars ( run joist to joist and fan is suspended ) this fan may require repositioning as it attaches with screws to a joist, you also may need a separate switch and wiring if you desire to use the night light feature. This seems to be well constructed and I used it on a new ceiling and it was easy to assemble and get working. The fan is quiet, the light is bright, and it seems a great choice for new construction installation, just be sure to understand the position of the exhaust ducting and distance to mounting joist if you are contemplating a retrofit of an existing fan.

[Rewarded Review] Good light and quite fan nice styling

The Akicon bathroom light and vent fan with night light is a nice addition to any home. The unit was well packaged and was in good condition when unboxed.It looks very well made with modern styling. The 80 CFM fan is powerful enough for most bathrooms. The dimmable LED light gives good light and is a nice upgrade to the light I had before. The installation instructions were easy to follow.

[Rewarded Review] Exhaust fan is great works even better than imagined

I’m absolutely blown away by how great this exhaust fan is. Not only was the assembly so simple and easy, the motor to me seems even quieter than I had anticipated. Very quiet sounding for me, the LED light is great- not too bright for a small bathroom and not bright enough for a bit larger. Instructions and mounting hardware are included. Great product, simple installation, and more quiet than I thought, however if installed slightly at an angle it will make more noise and rattle - found this out during install, make sure to install level to ensure best results.

[Rewarded Review] Sturdy & Quiet

The fan looks very clean and simple. It really has a nice modern feel to it. I like that everything is compact and the instructions are straight forward. I'm about to begin a bathroom remodel and this is going to be a nice addition. The instructions say that you need the Akicon switch to control the 3 speeds and the dimmable settings. I'll have to contact them to see which specific controller that it requires as I would like to have that ability to control as well. I ran power to it to listen to the motor and see the light and I was very pleased with how quiet it is. The LED light is perfect and it will certainly gives off plenty of light. Overall, this is going to be a perfect addition to my bathroom remodel and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This modern bath fan fixture is quiet and powerful. Bath smells are eliminated quickly. The light is bright and fills the bathroom. No need for any other fixture. It is easy to install or replace an old fixture with an updated one. The materials are of good quality and very well built. As a builder I would recommend this product for every new home.

Quit Working After One Week

I left a previous review once this was installed under the Seeds Program. We really liked the light that it gave out and the volume of air the fan removed. However, after one week, the light quit working. The Night Light continued to glow. I double checked all electrical connections and confirmed power to the LED light was present. Unfortunately there is no parts list to order a replacement light. We just replaced the entire fixture with another brand that had serviceable parts. Disappointing.

[Rewarded Review] Great size for small bathroom / Nice looking / Fan and Light in one

Nice looking bathrom fan/light combo. I like the clean look of the light. The box is small and will be the perfect size and sound level for our small downstairs bathroom. The light with the fan will reduce space needed. The unit seems to be designed for a new construction situation. I will have to do some work tearing out the ceiling drywall to get this installed... but most bath fans are that way. This is not a simple 10 min install. I will need to install an outside vent and ducting to the fan so it vents outside. I'm excited to get this in, but it will take some time and I don't have pictures of the installed unit.

[Rewarded Review] A great fan, light , and night light exhaust fan with a variety of functions.

This is a great exhaust bathroom fan/light/night light unit. It can be installed as a new construction or as a retrofit (by removing an existing old unit and installing this one in its place). What I do love about installing this as a retrofit, unit is that it can be done from beneath the ceiling. It is recommended to use an the manufacturer's switch (not included) and that can turn the fan on to low, medium or high. Using the switch you can also change the color to 3 settings (Warm white, Natural white, or Daylight) and also you can turn the night light on and off. This unit is an LED light and has a silver trim ring. Other models come with White or Black trim. Now I have to wait before we decide which bathroom to install this unit.

[Rewarded Review] Nice unit, could use longer extruding wiring.

The fan, and lights are all working great. The only reason I did not give this a 5-star review is due to the very short wires that extrude from the light. I had to purchase a j-box to mount almost touching the fan exterior because they are so short. Also getting all the wiring nuts on them was a trick as well, without much length to the wires. But all is now and I am happy with the outcome, tough as it was.

[Rewarded Review] Good Looking Exhaust fan with excellent lighting and quiet powerful fan!

This Akicon Bathroom Ventilation Fan (80 CFM) has an LED Light (15 Watt) and an LED Night Light (3.5 Watt). This unit was a replacement. Although it is smaller (7 1/4”x7 1/2” vs. 11 1/2”12”) and required some drywall work, it out performs the old unit. The fan is much quieter and more powerful, the night light is slightly brighter, and the main light is much brighter (estimate with equivalent of two 100 watt bulbs).
