Avoid ... received 2 defective units

I ordered 2 of these Aeric units since they were a little cheaper than the comparable GE models.

Works great! Was a bit hesitant to purchase it because I’ve never heard of the brand before, but I’m extremely happy with it. The only thing that I am a little concerned about is the bucket that you pull out to empty it’s hard to get it back into the dehumidifier.

Quiet and compact

It is much quieter than my old unit. I like the look, it seems easy to operate, it has a big handle on top and I like that! I also like the two years warranty and the included drain hose. I hope my dog will not chew the cord again! Dog is fine!

Was shocked at how much water it was pulling from the air. Great little machine.

[Rewarded Review] Mixed feelings on this dehumidifer

I frankly have mixed feelings concerning the Aeric 35 pt. 3,000 sq ft Dehumidifer with auto shut off, that is in white. I received it very carefully packaged, and proceeded to read the instruction manual, which left me with more questions than it answered. First, opening up the bin, there is a white plastic piece on top that you remove to get the drain hose, and washer out of, but you aren't told if this piece is required or just shipping protection. Next, it took an email and two calls to customer service to ask questions, and received little to no help. Poor product knowledge. I plugged it in and fired it up and it immediately began to run. The controls are easy enough, however, my unit doesn't light up for power, and the overflow / drain light doesn't light up either. The mechanism to turn it auto off didn't work. The float did rise and water spilled all over the floor before I noticed. I since changed over to the drain hose and a 5 gallon bucket and it works get. I do notice however that this eats up electricity very fast. I don't know if that is normal or just particular to this unit. The dehumidifier does a good job now that the drain hose is attached. I empty 2/3 bucket each 24 hour period. Overall, I do not know what to think. I'm not sure it is working properly with the bin. Customer Service was little to no help. Instuction manual was not helpful, but the unit does its job. It's pretty quiet. Doesn't disturb anyone. The exhaust gets warmer the more it is used. Nothing in the instruction manual about that and since this is my first dehumifier, I do not know if this is normal. I have mixed reviews. I do not know if I can recommend or not. Overall, it's okay. A simple, basic, straight forward dehumidifer. C+ 2 Stars. Thank you for allowing me to try the product. Thank you for offering it to me.

I ordered this product because my apartment was getting a bit too humid now that summer is here in NJ. I didn't want to get anything too big, and this one was the perfect size. I'm not as young as I used to be, so the wheels and the giant handle are fantastic for wheeling it around the apartment. The bucket also has a handle which makes it easy to empty. It does come with a hose in case you have a drain and don't want to keep emptying the bucket.

This works fast! I suggest reading the manual as it comes with a hose inside the water drainage container. The hose it comes with is quite small but I managed to get it in our basement drain. I love this as we are in a middle of a Reno and the basement garage floods frequently. This helps control the moisture to a desired humidity or timer. It has an auto shut off if the tank is full. Until we fully address the garage door situation this is constantly active to keep the basement dry. It also has casters which is nice.

[Rewarded Review] Compact with quality features

I was looking for a dehumidifier for the basement that had some nice features without being overly complicated. This Aeric auto-shutoff unit seems to be exactly what I was looking for. Compact sized yet feels really solidly built. It has nice rolling wheels and a pop-up top handle that folds nicely out of the way when not in use. The retention bucket slides in and out very easily and it too has a nicely designed handle that lays flat when not in use. There is also an optional drain hose if you want to have it directly drain to a larger receptacle, French drain, sump pump etc. The unit will alert and shut off if the tank fills. A viewing portal on the front of the tank allows you to see the fill level at a glance. The operational manual is nicely laid out and easy to read but the top touch buttons are so intuitive, you can plug it in and get it going quickly without much guidance. The power cord is about 4 feet long and it too felt solid. There are different power levels but even at the highest level, it is not loud at all. Really happy with this unit.

With living in Florida in the summer humidity outside can effect the humidity inside a home. I have now two of these in our home and they help a lot with moisture one in our master bedroom area with bath an one in our great room. This with our new HVAC system it keeps the home nice and cool and dry in the summer months. Keeps our master bedroom very comfortable at night. I like this unit because it covers a 3,000 sq.ft area. The unit has easy roll casters with direct drain option,an easy to clean removal filter. Also this unit is Energy Star Rated saving you money on your electric bill. The unit features a 32 pint water drain tank that shuts off automatically when full an alerts you when it's time to empty it. The controls are on the top an is easy to set up. You have a bucket full indicator light, defrost indicator light, continuous indicator light, dehumidification indicator light, and low fan indicator light, timer on an off indicator light, clean filter indicator light. Then you have your power off and on button, your mode button to adjust the humidity, your fan speed button, higher or low, an then you can set the timer for the humidity, then you have a filter, reset button an a light switch .... all easy to set up and running within a few minutes. I love that the tank can be easily removed with a handle to take to the sink to empty. I also like that there's a handle on the top of the humidifier for easy moving or loading into a vehicle and folds down flat when not in use The dehumidifier itself has a warranty of 30 days on all plastic parts from the date of purchase no extensions provided, an it has a warranty on all functioning parts for two years either will be repaired or replaced at no charge to the original purchaser.This warranty is through the manufacture. So far I've been very happy with the unit an with the fan set on low it's not very loud at all. The casters on the bottom make it easy to move around. There is even a window on the front of the tank letting you also know when the tank is about full. For a small unit it packs a lot of features and does a great job of removing excess moisture from your room. This is also great to keep mold and Mildew from happening in your space. A must have for homes with moisture problem or high humidity....You will love this unit.

[Rewarded Review] Great well thought out product

I recently received my Aeric 35-pint 3000 sq. ft. dehumidifier and while this is just a dehumidifier it is truly a great product. It came very well packed with a lot of packing foam and reinforced corners. Unpacking and setup was very easy, it was as simple as removing a few pieces of tape and removing the optional drain hose that is stored in the tank. I was very impressed to find it could be converted to use the hose and back as older models need you to cut the drain port, not any more. It has casters on the bottom to make it easy to move and even has a very clever built-in handle that allows you to move the unit farther distances. The water bucket is decent size but probably will need to be emptied every 12 to 24 hours depending on use. The water bucket is extremely easy to access, has a great secondary cover to minimize spills while moving it and even has its own handle to make it even easier to carry and empty. Operation is simple, directions are great and I love that it displays the current humidity level. This is an extremely well built unit with a lot of extra well thought out features that make this extremely easy to use, move and operate.
