Lighter weight disposal that packs a punch

If you ever installed a garage disposal, you know the hardest part is cramming yourself in the cabinet and trying to support the disposal with one hand while attaching it to the flange under the sink. This unit is smaller and weighs less than your typical garage disposals. Which means it takes up less space in the cabinet as well. It’s powerful, when you kick it in and that motor jumps you feel it. It’s only been in for a week, so I can’t comment on longevity, but so far no issues. One thing I did notice, there’s no Alan screw at the bottom to spin the motor in the event it gets stuck like other disposals, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s ever an issue.

Very fortunate

The installation instructions were very straightforward. I was fortunate that my existing disposal had the very same size opening at the sink connecting end. All I had to do was remove my existing system and install the new AS compactor.

American Standard Garbage Disposal

American Standard garbage disposal is a good price. We haven’t installed it yet since we’re remodeling our kitchen, and it is a slow process, so I can’t evaluate how it works yet.

Great little garbage disposal

Good purchase! The size is perfect bc we are on septic and can’t send everything down the disposal. It only took me a couple of hours to install (mainly due to changing drain pipes).
