The place where I live doesn’t allow open flames, so this was the perfect grill for me. Plus I can use it for charcoal in the future. Setup required a couple of basic tools, but the instructions were easy to follow. Started grilling right away and enjoyed my first home grilled meal in months. I was worried at first that it might heat up the surface I had the grill sitting on, but it was only lightly warm even after an hour. You can get a nice char, and it cook’s evenly. Once it get my timing right, it should be perfect.

For electric use add lava rock

Assembly was not too hard. I am using the electric heating mode. I found the cooking temp to be uneven at first. I added some lava rock and this made it work well.

Works very good. Wish the rack was a little farther away from the heating element.

I have owned and used this same style grill before and found it a great safe and easy option, especially in a dense city home with small outdoor space to grill anything where an outdoor smoke odor and taste is desired. Just gave a three stars so manufacturer will be more graphically precise in which tool parts go in which hole openings. Line drawings are not as good as real black/white photos. Also, sloppy alignment holes to insert nails smoothly as with the legs to be attached to the bottom grill pan. I had to force nail into two holes. Line drawings insufficient to know which end certain parts should face. Quit hiring artists with frustrated creative egos. They draw for themselves, not considering that more women assemble furniture and electronic portable appliances themselves w no previous experience. More women have to be their own self reliant handymen for lack of "real versatile men" to name one of other reasons.

I haven't even tried the grill yet because the first one had a large dent in the lid, so I didn't assemble it. I had to order a second one (since I couldn't just get the defective part replaced), and I haven't assembled it yet. Fingers crossed that it will be okay and work properly.

[Rewarded Review] Good size for a small area

I love the size and you can use it with charcoal too. Putting it together was a little trying… the direction and the way the pieces were labeled made it very trying and took longer than I expected.

Works great perfect size

I was so happy to see this grill - in stock / available for sale somewhere. I kept seeing it on websites, only to click on it and see that it was out of stock or no longer sold.

The lid and base came slightly damaged so I had to do some bending to make them go together. The bending makes it looks bad, but it works. Not enough of a problem to send back after spending an hour putting it together, but disappointing nonetheless.

Been a year, very happy. Got for my Dad who lived in a condo and can’t have a gas or charcoal grill on his patio. We took the grill off premises and used charcoal to get the flavor in the grill, and have used the electric feature ever since. My Dad is thrilled he can cook outside, avoid kitchen messes and have the taste of charcoal grilled foods. He was getting bored with his meal selections, and this was just what he needed.

This worked very nicely for about 2 years. After that the paint burned off and peeled. It didn't look so great after that.

Cover was dented when we received it. Did not want to wait that long again.

I haven’t tried it yet. When I received it, the bottom had a nice size dent. I opt to not return it but you don’t want to make a purchase, receive it after paying for your item and it’s dented up. I can still grill on it. The box wasn’t dented so I’m sure it was dented when it left the store. I’m rating 3 stars because of dent.

The grill is well made. It is just right..easy to take outdoors when I am ready to use it for cooking by the pool.

Really like now. Is perfect for my apartment patio but was not easy to put together. The instructions need to be re-written. End up calling the help number and the lady that helped me agreed. It does not tell all and really makes it difficult.
