Seat Became Discolored

I've had this for less than a year and a large portion of the seat has developed a purplish gray discoloration. I've never used harsh chemicals on it. It's severe enough that I'll have to replace it, but I'll go with a different manufacturer this time.

Comfortable toilet seat in wood

Toilet seat is wood and more comfortable. Is sturdy. Was a little difficult to install - top part of 2 plastic screws would not screw off and had to use a screwdriver to remove both of them.

Love this toilet seat. So easy to install. Hard to find at other retails. Will continue to order from your business, this same brand. And love the price. Well made. And I like the white as well.

Plastic Seat/Lid Hinges are Junk

I have Vortens toilets in my home and they came with Bemins seats. I have two of these seats on which the lid hinges have cracked. I have not been able to find replacement hinges, either at Home Depot or on the Bemis website. The lid and seat have held up well and it is a real shame to have to replace these seats due to a tw0-bit part failing prematurely.

The first and LAST Bemis I will ever buy!

Worst seat to put on. One of the washers did not work. It took me over an hour to put this on. Then what's with the wrench deal? I had to use cutters to cut the part they said would break off. One of the screws probably got stripped. I used my old toilet washer. Guaranteed for a year? So what, I am supposed to go without a toilet seat to return this? Only to probably get another crappy seat. The odds are stacked against you. Don't buy this horrible item!! The first and LAST Bemis I will ever buy!

Nice but lid much larger than the older version

Good quality and construction. Seat is comfortable. It is wood, not plastic, which has become more difficult to find. Installation was rather easy. Had to subtract 1 star because this newer version of the same model has a much larger lid, both in width and length (and in my opinion doesn't need to be this large). It is very difficult to find elongated toilet seat covers to fit this new version of this same model, whereas the older version of this model, the seat covers labeled "universal" would fit, and now these are way too small.

If you want a beautiful, enameled wood toilet seat that is comfortable, sturdy, and does not move after installation for ~$30, then look no further! This toilet seat has the best engineered design to tighten the toilet seat to the toilet. It has a washer that is designed to expand and snug up against the interior wall of the toilet when the bolt is tightened. You will need a wrench to tighten the bolt head, since it is designed to snap off when the appropriate torque is reached - this prevents the bolt from being over tightened and broken. At this point, the washer is tight against the toilet hole for the screw and the toilet seat does not move, at all! Finally, as you can see in my photos, I installed it with a bidet. To do so, you just put the supplied washer below the bidet frame, which is below the toilet seat hinge itself, and then tighten the bolt, so the washer expands - as designed - against the bolt hole of the toilet. Once installed correctly, the toilet seat and the bidet are locked down tightly and don't move at all. It is very impressive, seriously! COMPARED TO TOILET SEATS WITH "EASY CLEAN AND CHANGE HINGE" DESIGNS The above is not my experience with the "easy clean and change hinge" designs (e.g. Bemis Model #1500EC) - those toilet seats do NOT lock down as securely as this one does and have a significant amount of movement in them, or the hinge simply comes off while the toilet seat is being used. Worse, they are unusable with a bidet because they simply don't tighten as much as this one does to hold down the bidet and the toilet seat.
