Awesome buy!

Stopped working after 13 months

We got this microwave for my son's dorm room. Today, after just about 13 months of light use, the microwave STARTED WORKING WITH THE DOOR OPEN. Of course it is past the one year warranty period presumably and it would be more expensive to repair than to buy a new one -- so we will be forced to be part of this "throwaway society" and waste more money to get another one. Certainly not a Black Decker one! And now they cost even more than a year ago! Very maddening. Target -- don't carry stuff that is junk! Black Decker, if you are reading this -- stand by your products and send us a replacement! This is unacceptable.

Fine for heating coffee

This is the weakest 700 watt microwave I have ever owned. After the heating of one small frozen entree, I can't use it again for the next 5 minutes or it will keep powering down as if it was in defrost mode. Also, odd popping noises coming from the rotating platter pretty much all the time. Sad- B&D used to make such great appliances!

Inefficient.

This is a terrible microwave. The interior is way too small, it’s extremely slow to heat, and has an annoying locking system. I’ve had it for a few months and I get frustrated every time I’ve had to use it. For example, a bag of regular microwave popcorn will not fit inside. As the bag expands it becomes too big to rotate and it gets stuck, which burns the popcorn. Yesterday I tried to melt half a stick of butter, it took over 3 minutes and was still only half melted. Using my stove top would have been more efficient.

Not worth it

Stopped working after 4 months. Very disappointed I can't return.

Good Size, not good user experience

The microwave is a great size, however it is a little weak on the baseline power level which can be expected from a baseline model. The biggest issue is that you have to hold 0 every time to get the door to open. When people ask how to disable this the product person responds on here that we need to hold the clear button for 3 seconds, but that locks down the whole microwave. This is terrible design. The other main issue is that there is no clear way to just input a specific time you want it to heat, you have to press a number and then it turns on for that amount of minutes. I can not recomend this product.

Does not get hot enough to cook a little pot pie. The lock system is annoying. I hate that I wasted my money on this garbage.

Good Microwave Oven

I have only used microwave oven for a week and so far everything works fine. The only exception is I have to remember to hit the 0 button to unlock the microwave after my food finishes heating up; and after warming up a hamburger for 30 seconds, smoke was inside microwave.

Caught on fire

This microwave does not heat properly and literally caught fire the 2nd time using it.

Dont choose this product

Don’t waste your money. Picked up from Target and when I got it home I noticed it was damaged, missing pieces and had obviously been used previous to my purchase. Such an incredible inconvenience as well.

Doesn't cook

Doesn't cook. Tried to cook a frozen dinner that is supposed to take 3 minutes. 8 minutes later it is still uncooked.

Disappointed

After 1 use of this microwave it would no longer work.it doesn’t heat up the food.

Works just fine, small enough for space

The inside is easy to clean and the dark color hides splatters if you don’t have time to clean. This microwave is great for the price. I use this microwave everyday and I love it.

Dont buy
