4 Yrs and Counting

I purchased this back in 2020 and have made at least 800 double shot espressos which I used as the base for all kinds of lattes and make my own Starbucks fru-fru drinks.... it has paid for itself multiple times over. It is very easy to operate and maintain and clean. I absolutely love it and if it ever gives out I'll buy another.

[Rewarded Review] Quality build, quality espresso shots

Great espresso shots from this machine. Theres a bit of a learning curve. Every bean requires slight changes to get the best shot but thats part of the fun. The auto grinder is a great touch but it is not perfect. Sometimes you need to add a bit more to get the proper shot.

Amazing machine, amazing coffee!

I love this machine. We recently upgraded from a previous version and the new features are a real time saver when you're desperate for that morning coffee! The dosing is contained and you can easily see that you have ground the right amount. This also means no mess to clean up and the perfect cup of coffee. It heats up quickly, saving time and it's easy to clean. We are really happy we upgraded!

[Rewarded Review] Failing buttons

The buttons to brew the coffee are failing, Tjhe 2 cup button starts working by itself without any interaction, and this can happen at any time, sometines when I am brewing it stops and restart by itself doubling the brewing time. I opened a ticket with Breville, they want me to record the issue, but it can happen often or take 15 minutes iddle and then it start brewing without anyone touching it,

LOVE LOVE this machine

I love love this machine! I have had 2 other espresso machines and this is a winner. It is so smart and makes a perfect draw of espresso every time. The crema is beautiful and consistent. Once I had an alert light and wasn't sure what it was and the support team spoke to me on the phone and walked me through how to clean and reset the machine. Her help was amazing and was so nice that I spoke to a REAL person! I love the machine so much I got 2 of my friends to buy one as well!

Good Deal

After routine maintenance (descaling, cleaning, re-setting) and a good over-all cleaning, the machine seems like new!

Breville barista express impress

Love the measured doses and built in tamp

Have had my Sage Barista express Impress for four months and have enjoyed every drop of coffee it has produced. Once you have the grind right for the beans in use it is virtually foolproof. (Which is more than I can say for my attempts at Latte Art!! )

Such a good coffee machine! I am so so impressed with it. I love the self tamper, it makes every espresso very consistent.

Express upgrade

Noticeably higher quality build from the Barista Express but with a $300 price jump. Design is improved with less mess from the grind chute and more grind settings for dialling in. Still not sold on the tamp lever as you often need to tamp twice to ensure no loose grinds. In saying that, it does ensure the right dose amount in the basket and greatly improves shot consistency. If you are looking to upgrade from the Express then the Impress is worth checking out.

Great Machine

Am really enjoying this machine and the coffee it makes is amazing. It easy to use and the automatic tamper is amazing.

Do not buy - it is anything but an “express”

The product description would lead you to believe that grinding, dosing and extraction are simple with the push of a button. With original factory settings and fresh beans, I believed that was the case. Six months in the pressure gauge stopped working. I watched video after video trying to solve the problem. Were the beans too stale? Nothing in the promotional description stated this machine will not work with four week old beans. Are the grind settings off - yes you have to worry about two grinders. I later learned you have to meticulously match your grind settings to the bean roast. There is also nothing “precision” about the portafilter - unless what they really meant was - you had better weigh your beans and your grounds while figuring out a way to tamp evenly and not too compact, yet enough or you’ll have watery pucks or channels or it will be too compact to allow for proper extraction. Poorly brewed espresso with no crema is one thing but apparently you can ruin your machine if you fail to select the correct grind settings, fail to weigh your beans and or the full portafilter or heaven forbid let your beans age beyond a month, you will not get the desired result. Don’t even get me started on cleaning and flushing the machine. That part is also not explained and yet “oily beans” or not flushing every week and regular cleaning (don’t rely on the clean light) can again, ruin it.
