I bought this a month ago and it came with missing pieces. I still have yet to receive said pieces because they mailed the replacements to the incorrect address when I provided the correct address in an email. Stinks that you pay a bunch of money to not get the full product the first time and get stuck waiting for the replacements

I appreciate the modern, simplistic, yet traditional design. It has the little features which delight like a tab in the catch tray that pops up indicating when the tray is full and needs emptying or the storage for the extra accessories. I've appreciated having the ability to adjust the grind, temperature, etc to get the perfect espresso. The startup guide was helpful as well.

I have never used an espresso machine prior to using this one, and having this in a home is such a treasure! This KitchenAid Espresso Machine is a sleek, highly-useful (even for tasks not related to coffee making!) and feature-rich kitchen appliance; a must have for cafe-drink lovers!

Perfect Coffee Machine for the Home Barista

If you want to feel like you're a barista this is a good system that has everything you need to make a very good coffee . Easy to use and I like the flat Portafilter design. I do find that the drip tray fills with water to quickly and you need to empty it too often.

I ordered this and got into a car accident! It arrived and after 5 days in hospital I was able to go home! My family (need to mention grandnephew James) is taking care of me. So James puts this together, washes everything and learns the importance of reading instructions ~ Remove the red spacer between the water tank and the holder!!! Otherwise you will have a huge leak.

Comparable to the Breville tamp machine

Comparable to the Breville tamp machine for quality and coffee. I like the dial in particular. Machine is easy to set and use. Makes a great coffee. Only weakness is the flimsy grinder cradle which isn’t really strong enough to hold the handle thing properly.

I love this espresso machine! I upgraded from a low end machine and I love the easiness and features of this product. It brews and froths well. All espresso machines get messy and there is definitely some cleaning while using. The only thing that I think could be improved is the steam wand. It needs to be able to angle more. I seem to always spill milk when I am done steaming. Besides that I love it!! This is one of my favorite purchases this year!

My first impression of the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic espresso machine with burr grinder is that it is a very heavy espresso machine. Everything about this espresso machine looks and feels commercial. It feels very rugged and very well made.

I had the opportunity to try out this KitchenAid Semi Automatic Espresso Maching with built in Burr Grinder and I must say I was pleasantly surprised considering KitchenAid is a top appliance brand, I would not have thought of them as a coffee/espressor brand. The one thing I love is that my entire kitchen is now KitchenAid stainless steel. Enough of how great this espresso machine complements my kitchen.

Avoid at all costs, seriously.

My wife's most sacred part of the day has always been coffee so I got her this to replace the first generation Semi Automatic Espresso machine since it didn't have an integrated burr grinder. We have had a TON of issues with this and has ruined my wife's routine for drinking coffee in the morning. The quality of the machine is no where near the quality of products KitchenAid usually delivers. The grinder works great but everything else about the machine is awful. We've tried 3 different types of beans, tweaked every setting for each bean type, and espresso sparingly gets disbursed. We have to click the brew button 3-9 times to get a single cup of espresso. After the 4th time, the espresso starts tasting burnt. Instead, the machine floods the retention tray with water so in the process of doing this you must empty out the water tray EVERY TIME you brew. Its ridiculous. We finally sent in the machine to "get repaired" which they said would take 4-5 weeks. I have zero confidence this machine will get repaired and I want my money back or a completely different machine because this one is NOT worth the money at all.

Worth to buy

I bought it when it was first released. It works well so far, but the water reservoir below is easily full. I have to empty it once a week, not sure if this is normal. It would be great if the customer service could give me some guidance.

[Rewarded Review] Never worked and they wont fix it

We received this on 10/4 and called last week to let them know it wasn't frothing milk, just heats it. The espresso guage isn't working and we tried everything. Tried two different types of coffee beans, tried all four cups to brew the espresso, none of them produced something drinkable. We tried changing the grinding level. We gave up and called them. We didn't have this machine for two weeks and kept trying to figure out why we couldn't get the espresso to work. They wouldnt take it back because it was open, how can I use it if I dont open it. They plan to send us a box to send it back, they estimate that will take a week.. Then it will take 6-8 weeks for them to return it assuming they can fix it. I really just want my money back at this point so I can have a machine to use.

We have been using this product every day for over a month and really love it. It’s very easy to use, maintenance has been easy. Espresso has been excellent every time. Really happy with the product so far.

Bought this espresso machine a few weeks ago. It make a nice cup of espresso, however, there were issues with frothing the milk the first time used. It froths the milk for the first cup of coffee only. The machine has to be turned off and on again in order to froth the milk for subsequent cups of coffee. Called customer service and was informed the new machine has to be sent to factory repair which could take 4 to 6 weeks to be repaired and returned. KitchenAid should be replacing the defective machine with a new one rather than fixing it! Terrible policy. Very aggravating and not worth the money I paid for it.

I recently upgraded to this Kitchen Aid Semi Automatic Espresso Machine, and so far I am loving it. I didn’t realize the different it would make to have a fresh grinded coffee for my lattes, and even just this change is already making my morning coffees better!
