Have yet to install, but when we checked the box there are no lights included and one of the light sockets was not secure in the port. These things will be remedied, but not real pleased with the assembly of this product. Once installed hoping all will be well!!

This Hood is a good value. I have no complaints however a comment from my tenant is that one of the bulbs has already burned out and it was only about 2-3 months old

The range hood seems to work well, the fan is strong and has two settings as well as the light. I couldn’t really use it because I ordered the wrong carbon filter. The round filter who come up when you asked for filter don’t fit you need a carbon mat, it needs to be cut to size. I still waiting for it. They are NO light bulbs delivered with the hood, I had to go and buy them.

First of all, this product was a huge pain to install. It came with some "EZ install" brackets, which I suppose would work in the right environment, but I just could not get them to work. The unit was light and easy to lift, but I needed a third arm to install it properly. However, while lifting it, someone else couldn't get around underneath me to drill holes or insert screws. Project took me over two hours of trial and error before I was finally able to get the thing balanced on my shoulder and head enough to get the first screw started. Then it wasn't so bad from there. I do like the look of the unit as it matches my stainless stove. Previously I had a very old microwave from 1986 that came with the house. Debated replacing with another microwave, but decided to get a vent hood instead. I was very happy it fit the space and looks good once installed. The price of this hood was also very nice. It's one of those inexpensive items that looks expensive. The hood itself is very cheaply made, thin metal, sharp edges, and it did not come with an electrical plug or light bulbs. I had to do my own wiring, which was simple, but still was expecting a normal plug to come with the unit as I already had an outlet available from the microwave. The light bulbs required are also not normal screw in light bulbs, so I have to go and find those at an extra cost. The fan is made out of plastic and the mesh vent covers are very thin and see-through, not sure how well they will filter. But the fan is quiet on low setting, which is good.

Purchased to replace an old over the stove microwave and then built a hood cover around it. We needed something that allowed access to the switch from the bottom and was not vented. It was perfect for our needs. You will need to purchase bulbs and a wire kit unless you plan to hardwire it. It took about 30 minutes to wire and install. Its rather loud but only slightly more than the fan on our old microwave.

We actually cased this range hood in to look like our cabinets, and it looks amazing! Love how the buttons are on the bottom, the lights are bright and useful, and the vent works so well.

Box was completely undamaged (heard horror stories about that) but unit still has a noticeable ding in the upper part of the unit. Its my guess that the metal is just so thin that it will form these from the slightest stresses, moving, mounting, etc. Lights are bright though (I went with the LED replacements - NOTE: LED replacements do NOT dim (even though they are dimmable LED). Fan takes about 22 minutes to spin up, so start the fan at the same time as the heat, but it is a lot quieter than my old unit and the wide air intake area helps make sure all the smoke is taken out of the kitchen (with a lot of the heat too!).

We used this to replace an over-the-stove microwave hood combination. The original opening in the cupboards and for the stove was 42" and cobble shelves had been built on one side to take up the 12". Hence the original horizontal exhaust vent out the side of the house was centered on a 30" hood/microwave. With an addition on the back of the house there was no room to move the vent over. With the way the hood is designed and the fan module bolts to the hood, I was able to modify it and move the fan unit and exhaust to the left to match up with the exhaust vent. Took a little work and extending wiring, cutting metal, minor reinforcing(to make me feel better) and some additional sheet metal to cover wiring properly but it worked. Going to the right may not have worked without more extensive work. Like the idea that the fan unit can also be easily removed for cleaning if needed (9 nuts or screws and unplug wiring harness. Fan was much more quiet that the one in the microwave and moved the air so much better (like 3 times). Wish bulbs would have been included but able to find them. It took a certain touch to get them in (I was pushing in too hard at first) and make sure you hang onto the bulb suction cup tool. Very pleased!!
