Required halogen light bulbs no longer sold

I was very excited to get vent, but after install, realized it did not come with light bulbs. Unit requires halogen and it turns out those no longer able to be sold as of Jan 2023. Why are you still selling this product when saying the only other option is LED bulbs that may not function properly?

Works great so far!

I just had this installed today and tested it out with a pot of boiling water. It has good suction and looks good in my retro, all white appliance kitchen! I wasn’t sure if the place above the cooktop would fit a 30 inch, so I went with the 24 inch to be safe. And I’m so happy to finally have a light above my cooktop! I hope to use this range hood for years to come!

Have yet to install, but when we checked the box there are no lights included and one of the light sockets was not secure in the port. These things will be remedied, but not real pleased with the assembly of this product. Once installed hoping all will be well!!

This Hood is a good value. I have no complaints however a comment from my tenant is that one of the bulbs has already burned out and it was only about 2-3 months old

The range hood seems to work well, the fan is strong and has two settings as well as the light. I couldn’t really use it because I ordered the wrong carbon filter. The round filter who come up when you asked for filter don’t fit you need a carbon mat, it needs to be cut to size. I still waiting for it. They are NO light bulbs delivered with the hood, I had to go and buy them.

Nice small-scale range hood.

A very nice small range hood that works perfectly with my 24" stove. I was a little tough inserting the halogen bulbs, however. Apparently there's a special tool for this purpose which I wish I'd had!.

First of all, this product was a huge pain to install. It came with some "EZ install" brackets, which I suppose would work in the right environment, but I just could not get them to work. The unit was light and easy to lift, but I needed a third arm to install it properly. However, while lifting it, someone else couldn't get around underneath me to drill holes or insert screws. Project took me over two hours of trial and error before I was finally able to get the thing balanced on my shoulder and head enough to get the first screw started. Then it wasn't so bad from there. I do like the look of the unit as it matches my stainless stove. Previously I had a very old microwave from 1986 that came with the house. Debated replacing with another microwave, but decided to get a vent hood instead. I was very happy it fit the space and looks good once installed. The price of this hood was also very nice. It's one of those inexpensive items that looks expensive. The hood itself is very cheaply made, thin metal, sharp edges, and it did not come with an electrical plug or light bulbs. I had to do my own wiring, which was simple, but still was expecting a normal plug to come with the unit as I already had an outlet available from the microwave. The light bulbs required are also not normal screw in light bulbs, so I have to go and find those at an extra cost. The fan is made out of plastic and the mesh vent covers are very thin and see-through, not sure how well they will filter. But the fan is quiet on low setting, which is good.

Purchased to replace an old over the stove microwave and then built a hood cover around it. We needed something that allowed access to the switch from the bottom and was not vented. It was perfect for our needs. You will need to purchase bulbs and a wire kit unless you plan to hardwire it. It took about 30 minutes to wire and install. Its rather loud but only slightly more than the fan on our old microwave.
