BEST EXHAUST FAN EVER!! I have been in residential construction for over 27 years and have installed thousands of fans in both new construction and remodels. In this case I was installing 2 new fans, 1 in each full bathroom of the home. The new Broan fan replaced both 20 year old fans in an existing home. From the word go this was the easiest installation I have ever performed. The instructions were simple to follow and more importantly the instructions were accurate. I was able to perform the entire installation from the room, never had to get into the attic and the install was quick (1 hour for each fan). The engineer who designed the fan and installation methods deserves an award, I still can not believe how simple and fast the install went on both fans. The fan also operates as advertised, it is extremely quite and looks great after the install is complete. I would recommend this fan to everyone, homeowner and contractor alike. This will be the only fan I purchase in the future. THANK YOU BROAN!!!

Excellent product! Relatively quiet but the noise level is highly depended of the exhaust pipe diameter. The fan has soft start. What I dont like is the color of the fan cover. Its. Or white. Its more yellowish. Regardless I would recommend this unit if it fits your budget and space.

Our new Broan exhaust fan was one of the last things to be installed in our newly remodeled bathroom. When we flipped the switch on it was so quiet we wondered if it was really on. Then we listened, and sure enough it was on and doing its job! We are very pleased.

This fan is amazingly quiet. We literally have to quietly listen for it to see if it is actually running. If it is rattling or making noise then you have in-properly installed it within ts adjustable frame. Follow the instructions. We run this fan 24/7. It is ran full speed @80 CFM during the day and then at half speed @40 CFM during the evening hours. The fan was installed without accessing the attic, and in fact we also installed a straight line flu from it to outside of the house without ever accessing the attic. If you are utilizing the 2X multiple features only then will you need to install a second switch. With both wall switches up it will run at full speed, then when you turn the second switch down it will then run at your chosen preset speed. The timer allows you to automatically or to delay makeing this change of speed transition. NO, it is NOT a requirement that you install the second switch for the 2X speed feature. If you are interested in the speed and timer features it is best that you click on the operating instructions and review pages 10 and 12 to totally understand the optional use of these functions and features. That notwithstanding; this fan is exactly as advertised. Absolutely quiet, and quite easy to install from the inside without access in the attic.

Louder than I had expected. Quite a bit of vibration noise due to the nature of the mounting frame and the way the unit installs within it. Good fan, and effective. Just a little "rattley".
