Faulty Fan
I bought this fan 2 months ago in preparation for an ensuite reno. Installation was attempted today by a licensed electrician and unfortunately it does not work. Confirmed that power is running to it but the motor will not turn on and when the fan is manually turned it does not turn freely. We suspect it is a faulty fan or I was sold a prior returned item from Rona. I will be returning it to see if I can get a refund or exchange.
À éviter!
Après 4 mois d'utilisation, le moteur était hors d'usage. Je devrez payer pour faire installer le nouveau moteur lorsque je le recevrai... Merci Broan
purchase something different
I purchased this unit a month ago, it was missing the mounting brackets, and electrical components. I’ve tried getting in touch with customer service but there hasn’t been any one that can help me. It was a rather pricey exhaust fan and I feel now that I didn’t get my moneys worth, and I can’t get my money back because no one will help. I would consider buying a different fan just due to the experience, the cost, and customer service. I can say that I have these exact fans elsewhere in my home and they do work well, and are very quiet.
More CFM - less SONEs
This bathroom fan was the same size as our old Broan-NuTone fan, but because it uses a DC motor, it offers an increase of 20 CFM air movement and a decrease of 25% of the noise.
Couldn't be happier....
This replaced a 10 year old mid range Broan and is an upgrade in every way. Outlet adapter is metal with a metal flapper, starts slow, and is very quiet. I have it set to 150 cfm which is overkill for an 8x8' bathroom and there is no moisture/fog at all after a shower. Pulls so hard I can feel the air coming through the bathroom door gaps. This is the second bathroom I've installed this fan in and would buy it again if I had a third bathroom.
Easy to install. Have yet to connect electrical.

After six weeks of use, this fan has not disappointed. It replaced a 30 year old Broan fan in a master bath. Install was easy with only minimal drywall cutting. You will need attic access. We have it set at 150 cfm and it’s done a great job keeping humidity down. It takes a few seconds to ramp up to speed and isn’t loud.

This was 1 of 2 fans I purchased. This fan has a long delay in starting up. The installation was difficult. It did not come with the duct reducer. The cover (branded Broan) did not snug up to ceiling. I would not recommend this fan.
I’ve purchased many Nutone fans over the last 30 years, and have been quite pleased with them because they have been well constructed with metal squirrel cage fans and quiet motors. This 150 CFM fan has a pleasant soft start and is quiet. However, the fan is plastic, so it feels cheaper than prior fans.
This fan draws a lot of moist air out of bathroom and sends it out the roof. It is very quiet for pulling out 150 CFM. It was no easy to install but that's because of how the previous owner of our house has installed it.

No bathroom remodel would be done correctly without installing a good fan to remove moisture. At least, that is my novice philosophy. I purchased this one after reading a ton of reviews and I am very satisfied. I can barely hear it when it's on, was easy to install, and does the job. Highly recommend. Will be replacing the old fan in my other bathroom soon with the same but smaller unit.
Got what works like it should.
The install was simple because they were the replacement for what had been there for sixteen years the new ones are much better air movement but a little more sound than the old ones but the replacement was because you couldn’t count on the old ones to run so a welcome trade off.

The fan turns itself off and needs to be turned on twice to stay on. Broan says it is the electrical harness and they offered to send the part. Unfortunately they don't have any so they back ordered it saying it should be available after Oct. 20. I don't know if this will improve the performance, but I do know I will have to have the electrician come back. Broan says they don't pay for the additional labor cost of the installation. So far the fan has been a disappointment.

I give this fan 4 stars simply because of the ease of installation. I would give 4.5 stars, if that was an available option. I think that you must enter the attic to duct this fan properly. It is also larger than many fans, which some may consider a plus. There are some extra holes in the sheet metal housing that I covered with duct tape so that the fan could not pull any air from there, and to be sure no bugs could get through. For these reasons, I felt it important to seal the box housing. I had to cut the sheetrock opening larger than it originally was for my prior Braun exhaust fan, which was a builder version that has been there since 1986. Says a lot for the durability of Braun fans. Moves a significant amount of air through the duct and is very quiet. Big improvement over the original Braun, which is a less expensive alternative. This one is far better. Good product.

Installation was relatively easy, this fan replaced an older unit in existing construction. It took me about half a day to remove the old fan and install this one.
