QTXE 110
My Client have an old exhaust QTRN110-A. Find one replacement from SupplyHouse .com with detail instruction that fit the old unit.
Broan QTXE110
Very quiet and powerful unit. Retrofits can be problematic as the fan cannot be installed from the inside of the room and the mounting bracket standoffs could be designed better.

No bathroom remodel would be done correctly without installing a good fan to remove moisture. At least, that is my novice philosophy. I purchased this one after reading a ton of reviews and I am very satisfied. I can barely hear it when it's on, was easy to install, and does the job. Highly recommend. Will be replacing the old fan in my other bathroom soon with the same but smaller unit.

I give this fan 4 stars simply because of the ease of installation. I would give 4.5 stars, if that was an available option. I think that you must enter the attic to duct this fan properly. It is also larger than many fans, which some may consider a plus. There are some extra holes in the sheet metal housing that I covered with duct tape so that the fan could not pull any air from there, and to be sure no bugs could get through. For these reasons, I felt it important to seal the box housing. I had to cut the sheetrock opening larger than it originally was for my prior Braun exhaust fan, which was a builder version that has been there since 1986. Says a lot for the durability of Braun fans. Moves a significant amount of air through the duct and is very quiet. Big improvement over the original Braun, which is a less expensive alternative. This one is far better. Good product.

This was just installed in our guest bath that is being remodeled. You can barely hear the fan. I’m so happy, will be buying another for my master bath
Good fan but humidity sensor issues
Fan works but continued issues with the humidity sensor. Sensor controller has already been replaced once under warranty but within a year, it is having undesired operation again. The fan will randomly turn on in the middle of the day in a low humidity (30%) environment. When working correctly; during a shower, the fan will cycle on and off in 5 minute intervals until the humidity is below 80%. High airflow and quiet fan works great otherwise. Replaced a very noisy fan.

Very happy with item
Overall happy with our fans
One of our fans has been making a loud noise about 18 months of use
Difficulty setting up humidity sensor
The unit was received on time and in good condition. I installed it in a second bath without much difficulty. I ran a 6" diameter insulated flex duct to a roof vent. I installed an optional wall switch with GFCI per the instructions. After many tries during my initial attempt to operate the unit, I was unable to get the humidity sensor to react properly. My trouble shooting indicated it was most likely a bad humidity sensor. I'm a mechanical engineer so I have a pretty good understanding of how it should be working in conjunction with the timer and humidity settings. After informing Broan of the problem, they sent me a replacement control unit rather than the humidity sensor I expected. Not sure why. I replaced the control unit and that did not fix the problem. Once again, I informed Broan and explained that my trouble shooting indicated the problem is with the humidity sensor, not likely the control unit. They then sent me a replacement sensor assembly (cover with sensor attached). I replaced that cover assembly and was then able to get the sensor to work as it should, i.e., timer setting and humidity setting. The unit has worked well since then (a few months of operation now) however on occasion, the blower does not shut off automatically as it should per the timer and sensor setting. I believe this issue was mentioned in the instructions as probably due to abrupt changes in the ambient temperature and humidity. I am able to turn the unit off with the on-off switch wall switch I installed. It has always then reset ok after turning its power back on with the switch. I would definitely recommend installing an on-off switch (per the instructions) so that you have manual control when / if needed. I plan to install another ventilation fan in master bath, but I'm considering another option due to this issue. Although it is a minor issue, the inconvenience may be too much for the average homeowner.

This exhaust fan is ultra quiet. The fact that it is a 6" duct makes a large difference in the noise level. I originally had 4" duct. The 110 cfm makes sure that the mirrors do not fog up. Bathroom is approximately 96 sq. ft. This product definitely is worth the extra price. You will not be disappointed with the purchase.

NOT a easy install, the biggest problem is the venting to the outside you cant have the length on the exit duct to long, its best NOT to vent this in to addict space, putting a vent exit on the roof is not a good idea in new England the snow will cover it and will stop working, if you are going to do this your self do a lot planing not a easy install two people are essential, I used a 1/2 piece of plywood instead of the spacers existing construction

It is a very quiet fan, I like it very much, compared to the one in my other bathroom, this is night and day, installed for few years now and it is still running strong and quiet.

It took a bit of modification (bending and cutting) to fit in the wall and ended up rotated 90 degrees. The brackets included would have worked if the fan was between two studs with space on either side. Absolutely silent until the grill is in place. But still fairly quiet.

FINALLY I'M ABLE TO GET ANOTHER VERY QUIET VENT; ONLY NEED TO USE FOR SHORT TIME TO GET ROOM MOISTURE OUT WITH MY STEAMER SHOWER UNIT. HAD A VERY QUIET VENT IN THE 80'S; THIS IS MY 4TH NEW HOME. THEY USED A LOUD BUILDER'S GRADE VENT THAT WAS SO LOUD I HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE REPLACE IT. NOW I CAN HEAR THE TV OR MUSIC PLAYING.

got this for a very large bathroom. since it is constant velocity fan, we can leave it on thru the day. can barely hear it running. installation was easy. it weighs about the same as the old, small 4" cheap noisy one that came with our house. make sure to get the Broan exhaust vent for your roof. easy to install - good directions for DIY.

This vent fan is quiet, as described. And, it moves a lot of air. Great installation The cover will sit flush to the ceiling, whether the box is installed flush to the material or on top of it. The internal j-box has plenty of room. There are many ways this vent fan can be installed, and good mounting hardware is provided. If, you;re looking for a vent fan in any bathroom, this is a great choice. I have a CURB energy meter on the leads, and it uses between 30-34 watts, on my hardware. I think this is very acceptable for the work it does.
5 Stars
Great fans so far. They do a good job of absorbing moisture. And fairly quiet too.
