This is a very quiet, effective fan that turns on and off mostly on its own. Did I mention, VERY QUIET. With that said, the configuration options for this are limited. There should be a switch on the unit and bypassing the humidity control should be explained more clearly. But it's effective and quiet, and only took me a few hours to get it installed.

I wired this fan up so the Humidity Switch is constantly hot. Ran 3 wire down to switch, one line voltage to switches, two return switched wires for the light and fan. The Night light is LED, so it stays on constantly. Draws less than $0.60 a year.

This is a nice, quiet high-volume bathroom fan. It's pretty easy to install, and can be put in from the "inside" so you don't have to climb around in your attic. What sets this apart from others is the moisture and temperature sensor, which automatically turns the fan on when it senses a certain level of moisture, or a temperature differential. The moisture sensor is adjustable, the temperature differential is not. It has a manual override that allows you to manually turn the fan on. Having the moisture sensor is great because the fan will automatically come on when you take a shower. The problem with this fan is that the temperature differential sensor automatically turns the fan on whenever it senses a quick rise in temperature, which means that it in the winter it automatically comes on whenever the heat comes on in the bathroom, which of course pulls the heat out of the bathroom since the fan is in the ceiling. So, in the winter this fan runs a lot, and the bathroom is always cold as a result. Broan's answer to the problem is to install a separate wall switch to turn the sensor power off (not included). In my opinion, this defeats the purpose of having the sensor in the first place if I have to turn the sensor on and off. I may as well turn the fan on and off manually like any other bath fan. So, in the final analysis the sensor is a bust, and I am bypassing the sensor and using this fan in "manual only" mode with a nice wall timer that will turn the fan off after a specified period of time.

So quiet!

This fan is amazing. It moves a lot of air, and it is whisper quiet! If the shower is running, I can't even hear the fan. I just know it's going because the bathroom doesn't steam up. I haven't used the moisture sensing feature enough yet to comment on it. It does take a bit of effort to install. I needed a larger vent cap on my roof, and the switch wiring requires some planning. Overall I couldn't be happier.
