This is quieter than the 35 year old model that the house was built with. I really needed a 250 cu/min fan for the huge bathroom but there was not enough room to install it without major changes. So, I settled on this which fits nicely into the original fan framework. Pretty easy install.

Product is not designed for retrofitting. It is designed for installation prior to drywall and Hereford require significant modifications to fit. This fan is also quite loud. Moves a lot of air, but not ideal.

In my opinion, the Panasonic whisper ceiling fan sounds like a jet preparing for takeoff. It does not clear the humidity off the mirrors until the bathroom door has opened. Very disappointed. ?

Major letdown. Mold is growing on ceiling. Very disappointed at this price point and product proclamations ...

If you want a fan that really vents bathroom air and moisture quickly, don't bother with cheap, weak builder's grade fans that do nothing but make noise. This is the real deal. Vents quickly, and its a lot quieter than the weak crappy ones.

Strong and silent for a 290 cfm. I replaced a 80 cfm Broan that produces same amount of noise as this Panasonic with 290 cfm.

Product consistency fails

Exhaust fan fails consistently. Drips water and collects moisture. I followed manufacturer’s recommendations on insulation and still drips water every where.. im a union hvac worker and followed the guidelines of the fan recommendations pulled amp draw and fan is performing moving air. Fan just doesnt deal good with moisture causing water drip. (Programed on a Fan cycling moisture switch no difference) Dont Buy ! Rust and mildew forming. Insulated duct work as well just dont buy…

This fan is NOT quiet. Now I have two noisy fans that I won’t turn on because they are so loud. So much for Whisper quiet. It’s a name, not a description.

This fan moves air! Just as it says it does. I’m no expert in sound engineering but it is definitely approaching “library quiet.” An HVAC Professional was at my house recently, and we joked that the fan was capable of producing negative pressure, as in hospital. You’ll have no lingering smells or steamy bathrooms once this is installed.

Terrific fan!

I had my contractor use this fan in my master bath remodel. He strongly recommended Panasonic. I've always had a problem with too much moisture in the room. With a 12.5 ft ceiling, the moisture had trouble getting out. It caused damage to my walls. The contractor had no trouble installing this fan. Now when I step out of the shower, the mirror is not fogged, and there is NO humidity in the room! And it's super quiet, especially for a fan this strong. I'll buy Panasonic exhaust fans from now on. I highly recommend this fan!

Online spec sheet not accurate.

Spec sheet online is not accurate. Parts not included are the 6-4 inch reducer and the flex mounting bracket. Manufacturer confirmed that are not included in that series.

Definitely more powerful than the fan it replaced, but it is not "whisper" quiet like the old one. With double CFM, it is not quiet, certainly not "ultra quiet" as it is described in the product specifications.

Missing bracket

Received fans no issues, but am missing the zfast bracket. Since it’s for a retrofit I need it to install
