We replaced our old vent with this vent. It did a great job. Even with it being quiet it was powerful. The only thing that would have made this better, is if it had a built in light. It was pretty easy to install. I would recommend this vent.

I was gifted this whisper value energy saving ventilation fan from influenster for my honest opinion and review. Our upstairs bathroom has no fan, which kills me since our towels never dry and the mirrors fog up endlessly. Minutes after My Husband installed the fan those problems disappeared. He said the directions were very clear and easy to install I don’t know why we didn’t do this before. Thank you, Influenster!

Panasonic FV-0510VS1 Whisper Value DC Energy-Saving Bathroom Ventilation Fan blends well into any decor. Installation is a little more involved but not difficult. If you have basic DIY knowledge and can follow instructions you should be fine. It is very quiet and works well. My previous one was over tens years old and very loud. This is such an improvement and I couldn't be happier!

Panasonic bathroom fans are some of the best to purchase. I installed a different Panasonic fan in the interior bathroom. It is so quiet you can barely hear the motor; The steaming of the bathroom mirror is gone after a shower. The installation went smoothly and the fan's performance is excellent. There are 3 speed selectors and I selected the middle one. In my opinion Panasonic bathroom fans are the best.

This is definitely NOT whisper quiet. We returned the first one we ordered, because it sounded like we were making daiquiris in the bathroom. The second one wasn’t much better but we’d committed to the layout of the ventilation system. I would have gone with a Broan or something other than this.

This fan is so much quieter than my original and allegedly will also save some energy. The setup allowed for easy and quick installation so I was able to just switch my old one out with my new. The only thing I would say I like about my old one is that there is a built in light and this one doesn’t have one. This is an amazing vent fan. It has a nice design and aesthetically looks nice. It mounts very close to the ceiling. It has 3 settings, 50 cfms, 80 cfms, and 100 cfms. My videos show 80 and 100. On the video, it’s hard to even hear the fan. It is super quiet. My husband installed it with ease but he is an electrician. The air flow it’s sucking out is very powerful. My husband is currently on the tablet next to me looking to buy about 100 of these to replace in some college dorms. So definitely electrician recommended.

The bathroom fan we had was extremely loud. This one is amazing.. it’s as loud as a fan. Not loud at all installation was pretty easy We just had to make the hole a bit bigger but it was fairly easy. And it helps when we take a shower. The steam wasn’t as bad as before. This item is a life saver :)

0.3 Sones is a lie, only valid for 50 CFM setting!

This is a nice fan. It's well built, and deserves a higher rating EXCEPT that the title of this listing is a lie. It is NOT a 0.3 Sone fan unless you set it to 50 CFM, the lowest setting. It can go to 100 CFM, but this is 0.9 Sones, not 0.3!

Panasonic FV-0510VS1 Exhaust Fan

I like what this fan does; it's really quiet and moves the air. What I don't like is that it is larger than your typical bath exhaust fan and it exits the exhaust using an oval exhaust fitting. That means you will have to purchase an adapter to convert this to a standard 3" exhaust pipe. I ordered 2 of these from Build.com and they got them to me quickly,

Do Not Purchase If Quiet Is What You Need

Installed fine and tested for about 20 seconds - 50 and 80 CFM settings were quiet, w/ 50 being "whisper" quiet. HOWEVER, if you leave the fan on for more than about 30 seconds, ALL SETTINGS speed to the MAX and is LOUD. I could have bought a fan this noisy for half the price. As this has been reported before - PANASONIC, why are you still selling a defective product? Please take responsibility to fix this problem and resolve as a professional company with a long history should! Response??.

This fan claims to be a retro replacement, if you follow the instructions, the fan will not fit in the hole. You have to enlarge the hole, when the fan fits, the large plastic vent cover barely hides the hole you have cut. Now I need to fill the large cracks between the fan housing and hole. The fan works well and is quiet. Panasonic needs to re-engineer, removable vent connector would help.

Needed a quality bathroom fan so I went with the Panasonic WhisperValue DC with 3 settings. This unit saved me from doing a lot of electrical and exhaust vent work. I had just over 4 inches of space to work with and this fan gave me the working space to install it. This unit is very quiet and to have the ability to change speeds is really nice. I have been using this fan now for 2 weeks and I love it.

These are garbage - cfm goes to max only

Am renovating 2 bathrooms and need the narrow profile of this model to fit. They are absolute garbage. I've bought SIX of these units and so far 5 have failed to work properly. All 5 zoomed to 100cfm despite the switch being at lowest setting, and it's loud & rattles. Only one has worked and holds steady at the lower cfm setting. I should have gone with Soler & Palau, or at least rolled with dice with half Panasonic and half S&P. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this model.

Quiet, great value

I was attracted to this particular model for the price and realized it didn't come with a hanging kit as other models do.

An improvement, but not as quiet as I expected

I had this professionally installed by an electrician who was doing other work at my home. I'm not certain what fan speed he set it at, but it runs a little louder than I expected. This could be due to the fact that I had to use the 3 inch adapter. It is, however, much quieter than the 70's era smaller Broan fan that was previously installed. I'd give this 4.5 stars if I had the option to.

Just the quiet I needed in my refreshed bathroom

Was updating the bathroom and the existing fan sounded like a jet engine and wasn't conducive to a relaxing experience. Looked at several others, but everyone I talked to said "go with Panasonic". This unit was relatively simple to install in place of the other one and easy to wire with the existing wires. I had originally looked at a humidity sensing model but it expects an extra two conductors that weren't present. So I just got a humidity-sensing wall switch instead.

Panasonic whisper bath fan

Great fan and very quiet. The oval connection is a nightmare to adapt to. The only vent hose I found that would attach was a white flexible viynl. There's suppose to be an oval to round connector available, but darn if I could find one. The only thing I found was an HVAC duct converter...way to big and bulky to use. I think I will use a different brand with a standard 3 " or 4" outlet for next project.
