Making loud noise and doesn't stop when it reached the room temperature.

I had an electrician install the heater and an external thermostat. Even though installed as directed I have to press the reset button every time to get it to start.

Purchased this unit - paid to have it professionally installed. The unit trips the reset every time it runs. We reset each time and it continues to trip.

Works well, considering purchasing a second unit.

Warm heater

Good heater. It did its purpose but I personally didn't like the supplied wall mount. The customer thought it was GREAT!!

We disabled a hydronic heating system in our house, but I needed an electric heater for our basement room. Instead of doing drywall work, I chose this heater because it was the exact same fit as the hydronic unit it was replacing. I did read reviews before and knew there could be some trouble, but decided it was worth the risk, as there aren't a lot of options that look good and have the same fit. Well, it worked fine the first and second time it operated, but since then it has started making quite a racket. I need to take the cover off and investigate, but I assume the fan/motor assembly needs to be replaced already. Very disappointing. I hope I don't have too much trouble with Broan Nu-Tone on the warranty. As for the looks, it is pretty nice looking, overall, however the brand emblem being off-center looks awkward and they could have come up with a more attractive way to cover the thermostat opening when not using the built-in thermostat. Heat output is good.

Small problem, but great otherwise.

I have installed this Heater in my 12 X 28 Lofted storage/workshop. The installation was fairly simple. I have installed it at the 4000 watt setting.The only problem I had was one of the screws that held the thermostat housing was strip so I had to improvise with a slightly larger screw and it is about 70%. But, if I'm careful and only turn the knob gently I shouldn't have a problem. Otherwise it is a good unit. I have tested it and it works fine. I have it on the same plug as my A/C for the summer so I can unplug the A/C and plug in the Heater in the fall. I will return for an update when the winter is over.

I would buy this item and use Zoro again and again.

I use this Broan Recessed Electric Wall-Mount Heater in our 2-car garage, to keep it warm throughout the wintertime. I spend a lot of time in our garage throughout the year and this heater is a replacement for existing heater that I installed 7 years ago. It performs very well and is more than adequate to keep garage warm in the coldest of days outside. The thermostat keeps even temps at any chosen setting. Purchased through ZORO.com and experience couldn't have been more convenient and easy. 2-day delivery after purchase and basically a plug and play install product replacement.

Excellent product, it heats right away, as soon as you turn it on. Instructions and directions make it easier the installation. Nice appearance, grill and frame. The only thing is the it takes a good 2 minutes to turn off. I believe that's the way it works. Other than that , I recommend this product.

After working at initial install, neither of the 2 heaters purchased work. They trip for some reason and go off. I paid someone 600 to install these. Very Unhappy.

I just bought one of these last November, and was unpleasantly surprised by it's performance. Oh it heats fine, and mine pulls air in at the bottom and blows it out the top part of the louvers, downwards. It also then ends up pulling in already heated air to run through the heater again, which trips the overheat protector. I suspect a lot of the "it has a defective thermal overload protector" comments are actually "it has a defective basic design that causes it to suck in heated air which overheats the unit". I was smelling hot paint, which had me curious, but the heater wouldn't stay on more than 20 minutes before tripping the protector. Modify any heater at your own risk, but my modification should be fairly innocuous. I ended up bending the front grill upper (outflow) louvers about 90 degrees to divert the heated air upwards... this seems to have fixed the smell/tripping problem. It's not heating the floor as well, but it's keeping the room above 10 deg F exterior ambient temp much better. :). I understand their intent was to make a heater to warm smallish spaces in short bursts. it seems mostly a solidly designed heater internally - with possible fan reliability issues to be determined from other reviews. It is a bit loud but no worse than a floor fan would be.

Against the advice of the reviews that said these heaters had noisy fans, I bought 5 of them for my cabin. I had an electrician install them during a remodel. 1 heater was dead-on-arrival, and another failed after about 15 minutes. Another worked for a week then failed. I sent 2 back and got another 2. Unfortunately the one that failed after a week was past the return deadline of 30 days. (I had the heaters a few weeks before installing. So, I have a total of 7 heaters, 3 failed (ie. no heat no fan, the reset button didn't do anything in this case) And the remaining ones are working tho the fans are noisy and frequent need to have the reset button pressed. I have replaced one of these with the Cadet NLW 3000 watt, its so much quieter, the controls are easier to see. (I chose the 3000 watt instead of the 4000 because I want to add a "smart" line thermostat and they all seem to have a 3000 ish watt limit.)
