I purchased the Brother Sm2700 because my 35-year old sewing machine stopped working mid-project. The Brother sewing machine was easy to set up and easy to use. The troubleshooting guide is straightforward and easy to follow (I did not thread the bobbin properly). I really like the automatic needle threading option. I am very pleased with this sewing machine.

Great for beginners

I have recently bought this sewing machine as my recent one just broke down, and I am extremely happy with my purchase as it is very smooth and was able to set it up easily. Not sure if it’s just me but the needle where I put my thread through keeps on coming undone? Not sure if it’s just me but it is quite annoying. Overall this is a great sewing machine and is very easy to use. I would definitely recommend this product.

Love it!

Used my new sewing machine for the 1st time yesterday. Very easy to thread and sew. I am only an occasional sewer, so just needed an easy machine. Having the built in handle makes it easy to carry also.

Great for hobby sewing

I needed a quick replacement machine that I wouldn’t regret. I ordered on Monday and got it on Thursday. It’s not quite as smooth as the Burnett I had for 15 years but I am very happy with it. It’s easy to use and fits all my old Burnett feet and bobbins. Seems like it will be a reliable work horse for sewing every day on my hobby projects.

I love my new sewing machine! (I had an older model Brother) Altho I may never use some features, like a buttonhole, (only simple alterations) I am very glad I have this new one. The bobbin drop is great too. So far, I am enjoying this very much, and have made a couple eyeglass cases with foam, and it worked great.

Great beginner machine to learn sewing

Haven't sewed in years. This had valuable instructions. I am now sewing again. The price was great. Had all the features I could want and more. Also lightweight.

Sewing machine

I would recommend this sewing machine by brother for beginners, called SM2700 lightweight,full featured sewing machine I haven’t try it yet but I’m so excited to try out the sewing machine but it’s come with tools for the machine and instructions also the stepping foot to connect in the back of the machine where it’s said 27 unique on the left side pop right open so you can put your tools which it’s really convenient.

Broken upon opening

Very dissapointed, the bobbin winder broke off immedietly once opens, so now I can't use the sewing machine. I couldn't return the machine during the return window, so now I have a broken sewing machine and money wasted

Perfect for home sewing

I didn't want a fancy computerised machine, just something basic that didn't cost the earth. This one's working perfectly. Easy.
