After completing a new remodel on our master bathroom, this shower fixture was perfect for one of the shower heads. We used this American standard brushed nickel shower head for the light rain head.(the other one is the harder one. I love it. Perfect for me. Even though it didn’t come with the valve to operate the handle, not sure why, we didn’t use this part. We used a push button Grohe for that.

AMERICAN STANDARD STUDIO S 1-HANDLE WATER SAVING SHOWER FAUCET TRIM KIT FOR FLASH ROUGH-IN VALVES IN BRUSHED NICKEL is a simple design shower faucet. It comes with one handle and I did not had to change the valve this time. Very simple to install it and nickel finish looks great. back panel is little thin but after installation, it was solid enough. Overall, very simple yet clean design, easy to clean up, good water flow even though it has water saving feature on it.

That being said, this kit contains all other pieces necessary for installation…shower head, shower arm, all trim plates, gaskets, handles, screws and gaskets are included. The fit and finish is perfect!

(Once their rough-in valve is installed, you can install different finishes of trim kits. This kit is the Brushed Nickel.) Directions are very clear in multiple languages, with many pictures and extensive explanations to help everyone. The core of the system is the one-piece cartridge with ceramic components. The double Ceramic Pressure Balance Cartridge is a combination of Ceramic Disc Mixing Valve (lifetime drip-free & smooth operation) and a Ceramic Balancing Spool (maintains a constant output temperature in response to changes in relative hot and cold supply pressure as ceramic is unaffected by mineral deposits and harsh water conditions): All in a one-piece cartridge. American Standard has become the ThinHaus standard over the years. The products are beautifully made, last just about forever and our customers simply rave about them. Don't think we've ever lost a sale because the bath fixtures were unacceptable. This set is really quite special. It is modern and classic at the same time ... not easy to do. You will need a valve to install, but the instructions are very well done and you should be able to do it without a plumber. Just remember to use cotton gloves and don't tighten anything too much.

The one phrase that comes to mind when reviewing the American standard studio S 1-Handle water saving shower faucet trim kit is: heavy-duty. There's no thin-gauge stamped sheet-metal in this kit; even the two trim plates are constructed from a nice heavy-gauge metal. The brushed nickel finish is a favorite of mine, although I will note the back-sides of the two trim plates appear to be chromed (not something anyone will ever see). The wide shower head extends about 11" from the wall (to the center) at a 90 degree angle, and about 5" down from the vertical.

The entire kit looks and feels great since it has quality finish of chrome and good construction. The installation is fairly easy and the instructions are clear.The shower handle is nice and smooth and all parts are easy to clean, the showerhead is eight inches so it is big enough but does not waste water .

This AMERICAN STANDARD STUDIO S 1-HANDLE WATER SAVING SHOWER FAUCET TRIM KIT FOR FLASH ROUGH-IN VALVES IN POLISHED CHROME is nice and shiny. The weight is pretty decent, light. The chrome finish makes the shower head look great. This model had the round circle head but with a modern design to it. I would say this product is okay if you are looking for a somewhat average shower head.
