Great for price and family delivery a bit slow

The product is a great addition for the family in our garden, all our kids friends love playing on this when they come round. For the money it is a very good piece of equipment for domestic use. It can only be used for kids under 9 as bigger kids could break the wooden slats with their weight. It took me around 2 and a half days to construct this on my own and I'm quite a handyman lol.

[Rewarded Review] Great Swing Set, Be prepared for a long assembly.

Great Swing Set! It took some time to put together, but I fully assembled it by myself in about 30 hours. I expected it to take a long time, but it was not too hard. The finished product is wonderful. I only wish it was a bit stronger for the older kids.

Money Not Well Spent

I bought this a few months ago and we finally got around to getting it set up. Not a long process but we had the issue of constant missing parts and had to spend $50+ on parts from our local hardware store. It’s been up now for a week and it’s already got missing chunks of wood.

Cedar Cove fort/swing set

My 27-month-old grandson loves it. He’ll have many hours of play. The overall engineering and quality of parts is excellent. The instructions, paper & video, are the best I’ve seen. Construction time is long, so have help, or pay to have it done. I would have given 5 stars, but all the wood pieces did not come factory sealed. I had to paint on sealer.

Cheap

Spent almost 2k for this swingset just to have warped boards, pilot holes that don’t line up or are not there to begin with. For that price it should be much better material. Keep your money and build your own if you can!

Read directions thoroughly!

Directions are good, but I had to go back and redo because I had put boards and attachments in wrong. It looked good until you got five steps later and realized that it was wrong. I did it by myself except the slide which you have to have help with. Some of the boards cracked, but I do not think the integrity is compromised. I am not quite finished yet, but will be today. I just have to attach the slides and swing set arm. May need help with that. Would buy another or recommend. Lay out your screws in numerical order, makes it easy to find.

Good product, AMAZING service

We purchased this swing set for our now 4 year old a year ago (his playground as he calls it). I was initially surprised at the size of the boxes because they didn't seem like all the wood would be able to fit. The instructions were very easy to follow and it came with all the hand tools you technically need to complete construction (far easier to use an impact and a drill, impact bits were included with the hardware). The tube slide and the bottom of the regular slide were a bit of a pain to line up during assembly, but I was doing all the work myself so I think if I had help it would have been easier. Recently we did notice cracking at some of the bolt points for the tube slide. After reaching out to customer service via their live chat, the new parts were ordered under a warranty claim in about 3 minutes. All and all, a fantastic product and any company that stands behind their customers and product gets a 5 star rating from me. Absolutely will recommend to anyone else.

Loved how it looked on the site

So I just bought this a couple weeks ago, shipping was great it got here fast. The wood is very cheap and flimsy, I did read a lot of reviews and the numbering and lettering is indeed difficult to read at time and needs to be stamped more precise. I did order it with assembly and GoConfigure did give me a hard time and did not end up setting it up because my backyard was wet (I have clay soil so it absorbs moisture) so now I am setting it up and it’s a huge pain. I’m a stay at home mother and I’ve been doing it by myself and It’s hard work. My boyfriend is helping but we only have limited time. I really mainly wanted this because I was getting it assembled and now I’m stuck with it and putting it together and it’s honestly a nightmare. I asked GoConfigure if I could sign a liability form just because I wanted it done and they don’t have that, so it sucks I have to write a bad review because I didn’t get the assembly I wanted but unfortunately Backyard discovery is partnered with them and that is also their responsibility. The workers did not want to get muddy and were not wearing the right attire for it I get it but that’s not really my issue. I just wanted it up. Get a better assembly company! That is the main reason I even bought it because I did not want the stress of building it myself.

Awesome Christmas present

We ordered this for our kids, 2yr and 3 yr old. They love everything able it! The slides, swings, rock wall, kitchen and chalk board are all so much fun. They will be able to grow with the playground and love it for a long long time. Here is why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. The directions weren’t terrible. It took a lot longer to put together than I could’ve imagined and I am pretty decent with tools and following directions. I did add a few bigger screws in a few places. For the money, I feel like the wood is a little thin, and should include a better sealant. But like I said I am happy and would recommend it to my friends.

We love this thing!

My toddler has loved this since he was able to walk! We got a bucket swing separately for when he was little but have since switched that out for the original piece. My son loves going up in his 'tree house' and going down both sides. He 'cooks' on the grill, and gets excited to swing on the swings. We love this thing!

[Rewarded Review] Very detailed!

I bought this swing set almost a year ago. I’m in love!! My children frequently play on/in it! The station to detail is exceptional!! My children love playing house, cooks, and so much more. This play set is a great way to occupy my children while I get yard work done. I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone! It’s worth it!!

A bit smaller than I expected

The delivery was rough. Took about a month to get to my house. I was comped $100 for the late delivery so that was nice and I was pleased with the customer service. As for the quality, it's not bad. Feels a little weaker than I had hoped (being a 225 lbs guy, being on it to assemble the thing was a little iffy). I know the dimensions are on here but it's definitely smaller than I had hoped. All of that said, my 2 year old loves it, and I'm sure he'll like it for a few years at least.

Cheap Mateirals and no support

Wood quality is horrible, playset has cracking sounds every time my kids go on it and the fact that you guys do not sell parts and accessories for my playset is just dumb. Lazy business methods if you ask me. What if a part breaks a few years later? Can't replace it? That really sucks!

Cedar cove. definetly a good buy

Lots of hardware was hard to read. As well as the dark stain and dark labelling was very complex to identify.

Wave slide poor design, swings too small

Nice product for children 3-7, the frame is sturdy and it looks very nice. The slides took a long time to put together other than that it was easy to build. The tunnel slide is very sturdy but the wave slide is poor quality it has 2 sides and a single thin plastic sheet (which arrived bent) that is meant to be slotted in and has a thin wood strip underneath the base this broke after 1 day and we fitted our own chunky wood strip it’s been fine since then.

Overall Good Product

As the title says, overall we're happy with the purchase. The reason for 4 stars is during the installation, there's some moments where pressure is places on parts and some are pretty flimsy/thin. We had two Crack on us We had to glue back.

Junk

3 piece slide that takes 2 hrs to put together, tube slide that it takes 3 hrs, warped wall panels, rope for the swings. We got this thing 80% completed and realized that we should have bought a Gorilla. That's exactly what we did, tore it down and returned to the store. This will not last in the elements and it'll be a pile of kindling in your backyard in a single season. This set is a lot of sizzle and no steak. Buy a Gorilla, they have less bells and whistles but they're rugged and will last.

Organization is PARAMOUNT!

Great play set. The wood is a little easy to split, so go easy. My father-in-law and I put this together in 11.5 hours. We each had 2 impact drivers, multiple batteries, and patience. We opened every box, sorted the pieces and hardware, got organized, leveled the area we were going to build on and started working. Put the hardware in numerical order, and sort the wood alphabetically. Saw horses are great to have for this project. Dedicated drill, a couple impact drivers each set with either a phillips or Torx 30 will speed things up. Only one board split, lag bolts, otherwise a smooth build. Will seal in a couple weeks after the wood has dried a bit. Daughter loves it and looks nice in the yard!

It’s ok

Will preface to say that we are still trying to put this together and it was delivered 3 weeks ago. we were delayed as we had missing parts and split wood. Got replacements, I’ve noticed more wood split. The screws for the chalkboard keep popping out - not safe for my 4 year old. The roof for whatever reason will not line up correctly, the huge beam for the swing sits on thin piece of wood. Makes me nervous that it’s not mounted on something thicker. Disappointed for the amount of money we spent

USE ANOTHER PLAYSET COMPANY. DON’T BUY FROM THEM.

I felt compelled to write this review after having a terrible customer experience. DO NOT BUY BACKYARD DISCOVERY PRODUCTS. I waited over a month for their $2,000 playset and when it arrived it looked like a forklift had been driven into the side of it, breaking and shredding the wood pieces in the box. I called Backyard Discovery and they asked me to open the box and take a full inventory of exactly what was broken so they could send those exact parts versus just sending me a new box. Well, that’s pretty bold!
