It took 5 minutes to bring a sharper edge to my chef's knife than I could get in one hour with my stone. Well worth the cost.

Sharpening wheels not spinning (?)
Got this as a gift, read the instructions, but when I turn on the power switch it makes a hum, but the sharpening wheels do not move. Seems defective. Watched a video of someone using the same sharpener and yea, his works perfectly. Maybe I got a bad one.

Chefs Choice - It works!
This really is as good as the reviews say. Simple to use and makes knives sharp. I wish it were cheaper. I bought a cheper one and took it back to get this. The staff at Kitchen Warehouse could not have been more helpful.
