Simple and hassle free fireplace conversion

This is a fantastic product. The logs and flame effect look very realistic through our existing fireplace screen. It preserves the rustic aesthetic of our existing brick fireplace without the mess and hassle of keeping up with woodburning. Converting our fireplace took only 15 minutes. Paired with a smart outlet for Voice activated on/off control via Alexa and it's my new favorite feature of our main living space.

I wanted to write this review because the other reviews were very helpful to us. I am so pleased! It was so easy to install! We could not get gas logs, because of the potential health risks the gas logs could cause my daughter. We have a 85 year old house with a pretty fireplace, but it the expense for it to be used with a real fire was not something we wanted to invest in, we would probably never have the time to build a real fire, plus its just not my thing. So electric was our choice. This set puts out enough heat to heat the room and I love the remote. We were worried the set would look fake . We are very pleased , they look great and the reflection when its one makes it look like there are so many more logs on the fire. They look great! It is a great buy!

We replaced our wood burning fireplace with this electric insert. We love it. The flames are so realistic and the heat out put has three selections, low, high or no heat so you can have just the fireplace with out heat. The remote works great. Highly recommend this unit. We have had electric fireplaces with built in mantle but this one is so much more real looking. The installation wasn’t hard because we had electric in our fireplace because it had blowers for the wood fireplace.

Perfect amount of heat for one room and very quiet

After extensive research and reading other product reviews, we decided to spend a little more and go with this one. It works great! Nothing to install or build, just unpack and set into the fireplace. Remote works great, and the heat settings are perfect for a living room setting. It heats up the room within minutes, and can be turned off with the click of the remote. We hid a small bluetooth speaker on the fireplace mantle and can play crackling sounds when ever we like. Or have it run nearly silent while watching a movie. Living in an air quality controlled area where actual wood fires are no longer allowed, this was a perfect replacement. Highly recommend.

Our new electric fireplace is a hit with our condominium neighbors, especially with the Board President! I have invited all to see the installation and appreciate the option for converting our dirty and dangerous wood burning fireplaces (many with no hearth) to the realistic and beautiful. Supposed to be directly plugged into a socket

Dimensions were correct so no issue fitting into my fireplace. Only issue was it made a scratching noise when first turned on. The inside rod that has all the reflectors on it to give that moving flame look was bent so it rubbed against the bottom on one side. Easily came apart to fix that though.

Just Right For Me

I am an older woman alone and love to use a fireplace. The fireplace in my house is a wood burning one and I just couldn't manage the production of a real fire in it. I was looking for some time at an electric insert but hesitant about purchasing. After reading the many reviews from other owners, I bit the bullet and bought this item. I couldn't be happier with it. I had family members over and they could not believe that it was not real flame and coals. My livingroom is rather small the heat this gives out is enough to take the chill out and make the room comfortable. I use it every evening while watching TV.

Everyone who sees my Dimplex Electric Fireplace Deluxe 23-Inch Insert can’t believe it’s not real fire. We have used the fireplace everyday since it arrived, it has worked perfectly. It arrived packaged very well and was set up in less than 5 minutes. I added two side panels to close off both sides, made of scrap paneling that I painted Flat black. Now it looks like a smaller fireplace, everyone love it that sees it. My daughters dog actually lays in front of it when they visit.

We had a gas fireplace, but any time we used it, it'd set off the smoke detectors for no reason. So we stopped using it. A year later, I see this on Amazon, and was thinking..."huh,i wonder if this would fit in there" so I grabbed the measurements and a measuring tape. Looks like it'll fit great... Buy it, rip out the gas fireplace and throw this in there. Puts out good heat, looks nice. We put a small Google Home Mini for $25 behind the fireplace which is GREAT because we can say "OK Google, play fireplace sounds" and it sounds like it's coming from the fireplace. We plan on running electricity behind the fireplace so that we can plug it in behind it, rather than running an extension cord into the fireplace space.

We built our house in 2004 and have only used the woodburning fireplace 2 times, the house would get so warm it wasn't comfortable. We looked on and off you years trying to decide that we wanted to do with the fireplace ! Having a little extra money this year being we are both retired and elderly we checked your website and made are decision. Thank You We Love IT!

I don't often write reviews - only for those items that I find exceptional. This is one of those. Like other people, I was very skeptical about getting an electric fireplace, mostly because of what it might look like. I have an off-size fireplace (33"X21") which eliminated most inserts. The Dimplex DFI2310 was a model that would fit easily into the space, so I purchased it (also based on good reviews). It arrived within three days, well-packaged, and I had it unpacked, inserted and running in less than 15 min. Importantly, the nearly real look of the logs and fire is wonderful. I keep the heater on low (don't really expect the heater to do much in my open, high ceiling living room) and have it on whenever I'm home. During the dark winter days, it has provided a warm ambiance, one that I truly love. The construction is sturdy and can't imagine what would go wrong other than the LEDs going out in a couple years. Well worth the price!!

Our fireplace is in the dining room and we don't use it often so did not want to go to the expense of having the gas fireplace installed. This was a great option and looks better than I imagined it would. We have had this for 3 months and so far it works great. Has a heat output option and it puts out a little bit of heat. We are happy with the purchase. My husband installed a outlet in the basement below the fireplace to hid the cord so that doesn't show.

Great price, unit arrived faster than I expected and I had it installed and working in less than 10 minutes! Exceeded my expectations, fits perfectly in fireplace opening and no one believes it isn't a real fire raging! I would have given a '5 star' but few people read '5 stars' and it was important that people see this and no I'm not related to anyone affiliated with this product! My wife and I actually love it!

Bought a new home and the builder put in a wood burning fireplace. With gas logs not an option we looked at converting to electric. After not being able to find someone in our area that specializes in conversions I started looking online and found Dimplex. I did some research and discovered Dimplex built a top quality product and the reviews were great. Took 3 days to get my fireplace and less than 1/2 an hour to unpack and put it into place.
