Everone needs an EEMAX 1.3

Great product. Installed on the hot water line, it provides instant hot water to the kitchen sink, saving lots of precious water.

Should have gone a little larger.

Good product if you don't need anymore than 45 seconds of warm-hot-warm water.

perfect solution

Our half bath is on the opposite end of the house from the hot water tank and this mini tank gives us instant hot water without having to run a dedicated 30 amp 220 volt line that a tankless heater would require. Perfect solution to having to waste a lot of water waiting for hot to arrive!

Mini Tank

A great way to supply hot water to a sink in a man cave or a she shed. Very easy to install in a small area such as inside of a vanity.

Eemax Mini-Tank 1-Gallon Short

My second bath is a long way from the water heater. Long runs of water just to wash hands. Hook up very easy. The unit sat fine on cab floor taking up very little space. I now have hot water quickly at the tap. Great product. Price is great compared to other ways to recirculate hot water.

Plumber By Trade

The unit fixed a problem since the house was built for timely hot water at the kitchen sink.

[Rewarded Review] Didn't work for me

I received this product as a gift and we had really been wanting an under-sink water heater. The run is long from our water heater to the kitchen sink, and we easily use 1-2 gallons of water waiting for the hot water to show up. To connect this water heater, I had to buy 2 new hoses since the water heater had larger connections than the source pipes. After getting it connected, which wasn't easy under the sink, I filled the water heater, then opened the faucet to bleed the air. Yellow'ish stuff came out, but then cleared up after the air was purged. I turned the dial on the water heater to on, but the LED didn't light. I unplugged/re-connected, but still the LED didn't come on. I read online how the unit can get tripped and needs to be reset. The reset button is under the water heater, and behind a metal plate that needs to be removed. So I disconnected the hoses, drained the water heater, and reset it. Before reconnecting the hoses, I plugged it in, turned it on and the LED was green which proved it could turn on. I reconnected the hoses, plugged it in, filled the tank, then bled the air. Again, yellow'ish stuff came out, then clear when the air was purged. And again, the unit would not turn on. Considering how much trouble this all was, and the terrible location of the reset button, I decided to not pursue this any further. I don't have confidence that even if it would start to work, that it won't trip at some point and need to be reset, which requires removing the water heater, draining it and opening the metal plate on the bottom.

[Rewarded Review] It simply doesn't come any easier...

The Eemax EMT-1 was perhaps the easiest plumbing job I have ever done. I had to wait until the winter weather would cooperate with me, but eventually it broke, and I was able to proceed with the installation. In retro-spec the winter weather might have been a blessing in disguise because it gave me lots of time to gather all the parts needed for installation and plan my attack. I already had electricity and cold water running to one of my out buildings, but I needed hot water in the building to allow me cut down on trips back and forth to the house

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for My Application

Like many others, I am using the 1 gallon unit to supplement my hot water heater which has a long run to get to my kitchen sink. I did not hook up the cold water input into this mini heater, I ran the hot water line input and straight to the hot water portion of my faucet. Normally I would have to flush out a few gallons of water just to get to the "warm" state that is needed to wash hands or do other tasks in the kitchen.

[Rewarded Review] Worked perfect first time!

I chose this item and size because I was hoping to install in our master bathroom, but when I opened and was ready to go, I realized this unit is still a little on the big-side in size! I have to store items under my sink up there, so instead we had it installed under my kitchen sink! Both of my second floor bathrooms and main floor kitchen sink are furthest away from my hot water tank, so I installed it to help give instant heat rather than have to wait 40 seconds!
