love my UQS3001 so far

a few weeks in - wish the buttons had a bit more depth or were clickier -- a switch option would be great -- but everything else about this hood is awesome, it's powerful, easy to clean, and not too loud! the $150 install service from FOTILE is also excellent efficient and flexible (worked with Jackie in the SF bay area)!

Overall the installment process is not too bad. The only complaint that I have is that the 7 inch output duct comes with the hood. The 7 inch duct is not a common duct size. I had to go to Home Depot and Lowe’s find the 7 inch to 6 inch reducer.

Wrong delivery location

it's not related to products. The delivery truck just dropped my range hood at wrong place (back of the building without ensuring it's safe). Luckily I received the mail and found the hood

This hood is strong and yet quite, it handles all my chinese cooking without issue. A highly recommended product for anyone!

So good that I thought it didn’t work

I love my new vent. It looks good with in my kitchen. I got the one with the buttons and the whole unit is stainless steel. The vent is so quiet that I didn’t think it was strong. I don’t make a napkin flutter from the stove, but it will **** in once the napkin is near the fan. I tried cooking bacon and frying foods, and it ****** up all the smoke and smells. It is a game changer and now I’m not afraid to fry or grill food for fear that the smell will linger in my house, hair, or clothes.

Great Suction. Little noise

The suction capacity is optimal. The noise level in the highest setting is low and amenable (ie you can carry a conversation and hear other people) and the auto sensing feature is convenient.

The horizontal vent duct kit sold separately!

Please note that the horizontal vent duct kit is not included in the package and you have to buy it separately at Fotile's website. I was not happy about the extra cost, and the delayed installation because I had to buy the horizontal vent duck kit.
