Not worth it!

Does not heat! Barely puts out warm air. Won't heat a 400 sq ft room, much less 1400 sq ft. For the price andvrating, it should heat the whole house. My mini split heat pump puts out more hot air than this thing does, and it doesn't heat the 400 sq ft room. That's why I bought this unit with a 12000 btu heater in it. But it don't heat as much as a 1200 btu heater. Something has got to be wrong!

This does not address the air conditioner itself, but be very careful when ordering their installation service because it totally failed in my case, and trying to get it resolved was extremely difficult. In summary, this is 155 pound air conditioner and they sent one guy to do it all by himself, when all the information they needed was readily available; Consequently the installation did not happen and I had to call and ask for a refund, and reschedule the installation. I would think this would apply in any case we’re simply sending one person to do the installation is not going to cut it.

Lost a star

I have become an LG fan (OLED TV, LED TV, Washer & Dryer--content with all).. Quality products and user friendly. This AV/Heater is no exception. Easy install, quiet and efficient operation HOWEVER, the energy saver mode requires the fan to kick on every three minutes to get a reading on the thermostat. If the unit senses the need then the compressor kicks on, if not the unit turns off and recycles for another temperature sample in three minutes. This is installed in a bedroom and the constant on and off is ANNOYING. So I don't utilize the energy saver. Surely there is a better way to test the temperature? Took a STAR away!

Just ok

I’ve only had this unit for 3 months, and it jas started making a terrible noise. I havent used the heat yet, but I did accidentslly turn it on for about 20 seconds one day, and my house smelled terrible for the next hour. I thought something was on fire at first. It does a fairly decent job of cool, but is very noisy (noisiness is something I have experienced with every a/c unit I have ever owned). I think cheaper ones I have had have done just as good of a job as this one, and don’t start making noises like they were going to go out so quickly either.

First off, it's February. So I can't comment on the A/c part of the unit.

Does not cool Service Stinks

I bought this just in time for the heat and it turns out this does not cool. The only thing that works is the fan but the compressor does not turn on for more than a second. The service is atrocious I have talked to the chat bot to request a service and they said they would be here today from 8 am to 12 PM and they never showed. When I called they told me that it was canceled because there was no technicians but they said that giving me a call was too hard so they never let me know I just wasted my entire day waiting. Hopefully it can work because I always thought LG was a reliable brand but it looks like they also sell you lemons and have horrendous service.

Good air conditioner but energy save setting

I am happy, but one thing the energy save is different from what I'm used to. Once it reaches set temp. The air conditioner comes on every 3 minutes to check air quality. This feature should have different time setting. Every 3 minutes seams excessive.

needed a LARGE air and heat conditioner

had to repalace my two year old same model as the compressor when out and the repair man told me it would cost over $625. to fix it! didn't make sense so i bought a new one and will definatly get an extended warranty. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Poor heating function

Purchased in summer 2018 and AC works great however when I turned on the heat in the winter it did not even blow warm air. Requested service and repairman said that heater coils were working fine but he even admitted that it did not even blow warm air. Bought for my 1200 sq. ft. workshop that is well insulated but when you are standing in front of the unit while it is blowing it feels like cool air with no heat. Would not buy this unit for it's heating function as it is a waste of money.

Heating feature useless

Don't waste money on this ac thinking you'll get a decent heater with it. The heating feature is useless. A couple matches put out more heat than this thing. Buy an air conditioner and figure out something else to for heat. This unit wont do it foryou. .

Cools great. Economical to use.

I purchased this unit a few weeks ago and it is cooling great. We have been experiencing 100+ degree temperatures and the unit is cooling my 1200 square foot garage. I BROUGHT LG 23OOO BTU AIR CONDITIONER

Brought air conditioner because central air and heat had gone out. And IT HELP COOL MY WHOLE 3 BEDROOM HOUSE. MY HUSBAND PUT IN LIVING ROOM AND WE PUT TWO BOX FANS IN 2 DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AND COOLED THE HOUSE. WAS WORTH IT TILL UNIT GOT REPAIRED. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
