[Rewarded Review] Solid Induction Cooktop
This is my 2nd induction cooktop and although the length and width dimensions were spec'd the same, these have round top screws that stick out on the front and back that got caught on my existing opening and will need to shave quartzite opening a bit. I like that the controls are easy to use and the burners heat up very quickly and are very powerful. They don't beep annoyingly like my last one when I wipe to clean it. There is a power button you have to hold for 2 seconds to turn on and tap for off. It also comes with the foam attached to the bottom (not all do) so you just drop in, reconnect electrical (in a junction box) and you're done.

[Rewarded Review] Looks elegant and easy installation
LG CBIH3613BE 36" Induction Cooktop was easy to install. Looks great, nice controls, retrofits previous electric stove top in same counter opening. Can connect to either 3-wire or 4-wire circuits without issues. Comes with surface cleaner. Induction cooking is much faster than legacy electric coil cooking and this unit has a boost mode that speeds up heating even faster. The 36" model has five positions for pots and pans that includes a huge center position. Can be connected to home wi-fi and controls can be locked out to keep from accidental burner engagement. Very attractive and highly recommended.
[Rewarded Review] Powerful and versatile inductive cooktop works wonders while the kitchen stays cool.
I love to use my families cast-iron cookware, much of which is older than I am, and so it amuses me that it works so well using this most modern technology. The smallest pan (6 inch individual omelette) is still big enough for the smallest element, while my heaviest Dutch oven heats evenly all across its (12 inch) bottom on the biggest element. I can have up to five things going at the same time, all the different cooking levels, and yet the surface of this cooktop is as cool as the countertop beside it. Instant on and off reminds me of the convenience and control of natural gas, yet I can still have a conversation without shouting over the exhaust hood getting rid of the excess heat. Although it took longer to install (because it is bigger and more powerful then its predecessor and so needed a different countertop and a bigger power circuit) it has been a pleasure to use while cooking for the family or entertaining. An unexpected benefit of the required vertical clearance for this model (36 inches) is that I can now easily see each of the dishes as I prepare it (and taking hot pans out of the microwave at eye level had started to concern me, anyway). Finally, keeping this new unit clean is simple because the smooth ceramic surface wipes down quickly and doesn't collect grease like the grates on the previous gas unit. I can understand why so many professional kitchens are being converted to inductive: all the ease and advantage and few of the downsides and dangers (remember: the pans still can get very hot very quickly).
[Rewarded Review] Fast efficient cooktop. Easy Install
Overall I like this cooktop. Install was 3 wires and 2 screws, super simple. It fit in the old cutout from my last cooktop and the glass is thicker on top, so It seems sturdy. It came with a neat app that allows you to update the firmware. Not sure if that will be useful or not but but the cooktop has all sorts of chimes and dings it makes, so hopefully I can eventually turn those off. What is nice is that I can use the app to see if I left the cooktop on. Can't turn it off or on from the app, but good to know if you are absent minded. It also tracks the power usage. For fun I boiled 8 cups of water which took a hair over 4 minutes. The cooktop said it used 202Wh of energy. At 100% efficiency it would be 171 Wh for just heating the water. So overall it was 82% efficient at boiling water which is pretty amazing since it had no lid and it heated the pan up also! I'd say twice as efficient as gas and a lot faster. The controls can take some getting used to. The ink isn't very contrasting and it is very reflective so they can be harder to find. For control, Tap the location, then tap the power level. It would be nice if after you tapped the location it turned off after a few seconds of no power level choice. Instead you have to select zero which is a slight annoyance if you are boiling over. In terms of power between the zones, the large center one for sure seems to have more power. Same settings with same pan seems to heat up more in the center. This requires some planning to ensure you don't burn things. A 2 in the center might be a 4 on the front right burner. Also in general it would be better if the higher settings were toned down a bit. If you can stir fry on 5 or 6 then I don't know what I would use 7,8,or 9 for. I would just use the Boost boil mode instead to get water boiling and prefer more fine adjustment throughout the range. Again though, maybe they will put out more firmware updates. Overall I like it and am happy.
