Buy seat separately

Make sure you order a seat at the same you order this toilet. I didn't realize (per the pictures) that it didn't come with a seat. Lowe's customer service did me a "disservice" by spending 45 minutes to tell me that they were ordering a toilet lid and seat for me. When I didn't get a confirmation email, I contacted customer service again and found out that I needed to call the manufacturer directly. THEN I found out the lid and seat don't come with the toilet. What a run around. I haven't used the toilet yet so this review can't be about it's function....kind of need the seat first!

This was actually a 2nd choice since HD doesn't handle our 1st choice in the color and dimensions we needed to match another unit we have. The Cadet unit was very well designed for DIY install. Very satisfied with function, very quiet!!

The toilet is fine. Have not had any issues and it flushes fast everytime since installing it.

Perfect height, perfect flush!

I installed this in my rental and absolutely love how it performs. The tenants comment often on how they never have to double flush and live the height . I would highly recommend this toilet to everyone.

My favorite toilet until . . .

This toilet flushes perfect and uses minimal water. It is very well designed an was my favorite toilet until the tank developed a crack and leaked. In my 50+ years, I've never had a tank crack that way. Aside from this defect, the toilet is fantastic!

Flushes well (when set up correctly)

Had one of these for just under a year and it works well. I recently realized the flapper has an adjustable setting (1 to 10). These toilets come from the factory on setting 1 (which is most restrictive). Change it to setting 10 (not easy to do!) and see the Cadet flush drama at its best - the kids love flushing this toilet! Note however that the Powerwash rim does miss some areas of the bowl surface at the back. Overall I am happy with it and expect it last.

Right fit in my small master bath

This toilet is apparently a little different than the retail model, it comes with a metal flush handle. I needed a small toilet for my 48 inch wide master bath and I have zero complaints with it. I spent weeks and money trying to stop my old toilet from leaking and after reading about this model online decided it was the one. I bought it locally and installed it myself and I am no plumber. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I had to purchase the wax ring and water supply line both inexpensive. Its a two piece and I followed the instructions as directed and when I finished 2.5 months ago this toilet has not leaked or given me any trouble what so ever. It flushes completely it really does. I wanted a one piece elongated toilet but my master bath just is not large enough for one. I am completely satisfied with this toilet. There was nothing intimidating about putting it together and installing it.

Excellent choice for 1.28 gpf low flow toilet

We need to replace two old toilets with new ones that meet the new 1.28 gpf required by state of CA. We did not want dual flush (more moving parts) or anything exotic (hard to find parts), but wanted better quality than what is available at big-box DIY stores. Prices vary widely, advise checking with commercial plumbing supply, some sell at near wholesale prices and some of them will sell to individual homeowners. Fancy plumbing showrooms are much more expensive. Also recommend the American Standard soft close seat. Very happy with our choice, they work really well.

Great product performs perfectly

This has been installed one year and it continues to perform perfectly. It flushes everything, using very little water and much quieter than our previous toilet. Also the additional height has been enjoyed.

Great Product

There were two things of concern when we installed what here in San Diego is called a "low flush" toilet. (1) Would it clean the bowl of solid waste everytime and (2) After a year or two would our sewer line become clogged because there wasn't enough push from the lesser amount of water being used. The Cadet has been installed for three years now and has performed in an excellent manner. We are most pleased with it.

Does what it says it will do

After doing a lot of research and watching the videos on how they flush, I purchased 2 Cadet 3 toilets. To say that they performed better than I expected would be an understatement, they really work as advertised or should I say they work better than advertised. They really do stay cleaner than the old toilets. With many products it is not until you have a problem do you find out what kind of company and product you have bought. I had a small leak at the flapper on one of my toilets and I emailed American Standard about it, they sent me a replacement part that took care of the problem. In my opinion not only do they have a great product, they have a excellent customer service department. The only criticism will probably be from my neighbors and friends who thought I was done talking about how great American Standard products are.
