Excellent Grill

Due to having our house painted, we did not set up the grill right away. When we finally did we love it! The smaller size is perfect for two people. It heats up so quickly & is really easy to keep the temperature consistent. The food cooks quickly & the see through window is amazing. The door handles, unfortunately, have to be opened carefully as both my husband & I have bruised thumbnails. It does not effect the grill & I wouldn’t reduce my rating but maybe it can be fixed for future grills. We are thrilled with the grill & am happy we bought it.

Looks Great - Cooks Even Better

The grill arrived via FedEx and it took a little longer than anticipated getting shipped from the vendor. The grill was expertly packaged with the main portion encased in expanded polystyrene. The small parts were in a blister pack to keep organized except the pack did not work well to keep things separated. That wasn't a big deal since the number of various parts was small. Unpacking, assembling and organizing the trash took about one and one-quarter hours. The instructions were very clear and a lot of engineering went into assembly techniques to save time. FEATURES I LIKED: I selected this grill because of three burners, instead of the smaller one that had only two. This gave a better heat distribution across the grill. The grated are porcelain-coated cast iron making the grates easy to clean. The drip pan comes out easily for cleaning. The knobs are back-lit with a blue color when a burner is off and red when on. The knobs had a good feel to them. The casters roll nicely even on my brick-paver patio. The side shelves are quite substantial to hold heavy items. The shelves fold away for storage. THINGS I WAS SURPRISED ABOUT: Apparently this grill is an older model and I should have shopped more carefully to get the improvements like cast aluminum hood sides and a better placement of the thermometer. Nevertheless, this grill is quite nice. The grill, advertised as stainless steel, has a painted steel base in a gray tone to match the stainless steel grill. MY FIRST USE: I followed suggestions to burn off any manufacturing residue prior to cooking my dinner. I then grilled some corn-on-the-cob and burgers. The grill performed beyond expectations and both items came out perfectly. The grates cleaned with just a bit of soapy water after they cooled. RECOMMENDATION: In spite of missing the 2024 improvements from the Monument folks, this is a excellent grill that, with care, should last many years. It looks fantastic and cooks nicely. It is a perfect addition to my outdoor dining area.

Much better that a Weber at a reasonable price!

Bought from a local big box store for use at work. Took about 2 weeks to receive. All parts were there with no damage. Took about 45 min to assemble. However only the upper rack is porcelain coated. Wished you offered a stainless steel lower grate.

Worse grill I've ever owned

I've had many grills throughout my life and honestly this is the worse grill I've ever owned. It's so bad, this grill here proves, just because it's a higher priced grill doesn't mean it's better. I've had much cheaper grills that run circles around this one.

Can’t complain

Received the mesa 300 about 2-3 weeks ago. Very well packaged and relatively easy to assemble with the instructions. Worked perfectly and heats/cools very quick. Did a 30 min high heat cycle and a 30 min seasoning to start off. Used it twice so far and it works great! Love the window to be able to see how the food is looking. If it lasts at least 3 years it will be money well spent

Nice grill

There were somes issues assembling. A couple of the parts were slightly end which made assembly more challenging. Not a deal breaker. So far the grill performs well. Used the rotisserie last night. Regretfully, the grill does not have a fully covered back which seems like a design flaw.

Mesa 300 - A Wonderful Mix of Performance and Beauty

Well I don’t write many product reviews but since using the Mesa 300 over the past few months I am in extremely happy with its cooking performance. This 3-burner grill has ample heat and provides perfect sear. The learning cooking experience has been exciting. This grill cleans up easily, and with its folding side shelves is compact and fits our patio space wonderfully. I even found an aftermarket grill cover on Amazon that fits this grill perfectly in its folded shelf position. It has good amount of grill surface for anything cooking occasion and the food tastes delicious. The Mesa 300 is a wonderful mix of performance and beauty. Highly recommended!!

A Very Nice Well Built Grill

This grill was the easiest grill I have put together. I have owned a Weber, Char Griller, plus some cheapies. This cooks even, I like the glass window so you can what is or isn't happening. What is really nice is the bottom pan is stainless steel that pulls out easy to clean and if it rusts out very easy to replace. This grill gets plenty hot. The only issue I can find with this grill is the side shelves that fold is a bit flimsy but not too bad. By all means this is not a game changer. This grill is small but we are only 2 so it's perfect size for us.

Impressive Grill at modest cost

I don't normally write reviews for products, but was compelled to write about the Monument Grill because I am so pleased. Firstly in response to many of the reviewers; some complained about the assembly and I was prepared for a lengthy exercise, but including unpacking the parts, I was done in 50 minutes. The carton and packaging are surprisingly excellent, and I believe it would take some real abuse to render any sort of damage enroute. Also for those who are wondering, most of the firebox is preassembled and it is mainly the pedestal/propane compartment that is flat shipped. The directions were excellent and I was particularly impressed by the precision/accuracy of all the parts, there was no bending or manhandling to get things to align. Everything fits and works as it should. The stainless comprises the doors, firebox cover, and side shelves. It seems to be well fabricated and flawless brushed finish. The sides and bottom of the compartment are painted grey but seem to be a high quality finish. Some complained that the wheels are plastic, but I love that they won't corrode and have easy to operate parking brake. The fire box itself is heat resistant coating like the inside of your oven, so easy to clean. The window and thermometer are a great idea. I like the fact that there are 3 separate grates inside, so if you cook on only one area, you only need to clean the one grate, leaving the others behind, just more convenient really. the drip tray is fully stainless steel and easy to remove and cleans up very easily. I have used the grill for a few weeks now and find the heat controls very accurate, easy to maintain a temperature without annoying hot spots. I live in the caribbean with high humidity and salty corrosive air, and bought a cheap cover from Amazon, and is essential to keeping the rust stains at bay, and very pleased so far. It is not a 3 thousand dollar grill and doesn't pretend to be, but in my opinion a great value compared to some other grilles I have seen and used. Some complained that the Monument badge is mounted crooked on the lid, and mine is no exception, and maybe there is a reason for it, but I could care less, the grille works flawlessly, has many great features and looks snappy as well.

Our second purchase of this grill over the years.

Bought one of these years ago and wore it out. After owning one there was no reason to buy anything else. Large cooking area, even heating, smooth and long lasting operating ignition and burner controls. Quality stainless steel build. Lots of smooth edges on the stainless steel parts making assembly "finger cut" free. Comes packaged in very heavy duty cardboard box and lots of protective material covering critical parts in the box. Assembly is easy enough while following the instruction manual. Can't say enough about the overall quality of this item and you can tell great thought has been put into the design and packaging.
