It overflows

This coffee maker has 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz settings. I set it to 6oz turned it on and left. When I came back, it had overflowed my cup and it spilled on my counter. I contacted the seller, but he wouldn't help me because It was passed the 30 days. I Don't recommend buying from this seller because you don't have enough time to try it or return it if necessary.

Fine coffee maker with one annoying aspect

In general I like this machine and it does a fine job brewing several cups every day during this work-from-home period. However, one really annoying aspect is that it seems every time I refill the reservoir it brews 1.5 to 2 times the amount of the setting. If I neglect to reset the selector from 12oz to 6oz each time I add water, it brews so much it overflows the cup and all over the counter. Not only is this frustrating to deal with, but the coffee is so watered down that I need to dump the results, clean up, and start over again. I have to remember to set the selector to 6oz after adding water and it then fills the cup with 12oz. Subsequently when I leave the selector at 6oz, it will brew 6oz until I add more water again.

Great till It wasn’t

As a long time customer of Mr. Coffee, I purchased this maker to replace my 12 cup maker. It was great for the first 32 days and then it wasn’t. I woke up to make my coffee to go and it would not work. I tried everything I could think of, friends, online, videos, etc. nothing worked. I though out the maker, and left the house that morning very grumpy. I start my day with coffee to combat my migraines and that day is one I won’t forget. I have never had an issue with any of my 12 cup makers, but this one I will not be buying or recommending since it became useless in 32 days of purchase. Now I have to stop and get coffee instead of making it at home. Very disappointing. Mr. Coffee has been a household name for me for over 40 years.

inefficient

i was trying to get away from k-cups and pour-over methods of coffee so i decided to try this. it works as it should but is very inefficient compared to pour-over method. you need 50% more coffee ground in this mr. coffee hotcup to match the same taste as the pour-over. plus the #2 cone filter (folded at seams) mr. coffee recommend does not fit conveniently into the supplied basket. i always worry the paper filter may have folded over when inserting basket onto the machine. bottom line: there is a lot of wasted coffee still left in the basket after cycling through.

Better than competition!

I finally used this coffee maker after taking it to my office. Why did I wait so long?! Simple to use and self explanatory. Makes just the right amount for my coffee cup and cleans up nicely. The black matches my office decor as well.

GREATEST coffee maker I ever had!!!

This is the GREATEST coffee maker I have ever had!! Love it. I drink 48ozs. of coffee every day and had almost every brand of maker on the market in my 65 years of coffee drinking. Now I get a FRESH brewed cup of Folgers Black Silk every time, instead of heated in micro all day, except for the first one. Uses a little more coffee, but well worth it!

Fast and terrible.

Horrible coffee. Fast, but just awful. I have the cheapest 12 cup good old fashioned Mr. Coffee drip maker and it is incredible. Single cup is terrible.

Makes a good cup of coffee

I was hating on the coffee available in my office breakroom. I am one of those weird people who don't really like the taste of coffee made from pods. This used a cone filter and ground coffee. It is worth the small bit of extra effort! It is a hot, fresh and good cup of joe. No burnt taste at all. Small enough design to store at my desk when not in use. I also liked that I could select the size cup it made. It saves me a lot every week over buying my coffee at a cafe or coffee shop. I am very happy with my Mr Coffee HotCup Single Serve/Pod Free Coffee Maker. I would recommend this product.

Love the different cup size options

I got the Mr. Coffee HotCup Single Serve pod free coffee maker through the Try-it Sampling community for being a BazaarVoice member. My favorite feature about this is how I don’t have to deal with a large glass pitcher to pour my coffee. I can select which size cup I want and it will pour enough to suit my preference. I have the Mr. Coffee kcup single serve at home as well and so I am already a fan of Mr. Coffee brand. This particular product does not use the k cup as it is a pod free machine. It brews 6, 8, 10 and 12pz cups. This is great to use for tea or any hot drinks or soups because the Advanced Water System evenly distributes hot water out. It uses a Kettle technology that heats to optimal temps. The tank holds 74oz. The HotCup uses #2 cone filters which did not come with it but they can easily be found at any store. It came with a convenient measuring scoop though, and has a Auto off/on feature that is energy efficient. It also includes a dishwasher safe brew basket.

A Lifesaver

The Mr. Coffee HotCup Single Serve/Pod Free Coffee Maker is a lifesaver. I've tried the machines with the little single served cups but no, nope, can't do those. Well this Single Serve/Pod Free coffee machine must have heard my prayers! A single serve coffee machine that accepts my coffee grinds! And I must add that it distributes rich coffee goodness throughout the entire stream (not like the little cups where them end is water)I can pick sizes too. This coffee maker is a dream come true!

Coffee!!!

I’ve been wanting a single cup coffee maker and this one has been GREAT!! Easy to use, easy to clean and makes an EXCELLENT cup of coffee!!! I had thought about a keriug but this one was cheaper, but is comparable to the keriug!!

Perfect cup of coffee

I love this coffee pot, it brews the perfect cup of coffee without using those expensive pods. My day to day routine changes all the time and I love the fact I can brew a cup for home or brew a cup directly into my travel mugs for those on the go mornings

Dependable coffee maker

I received the Mr. Coffee HotCup single serve (pod-free) coffee maker, compliments of Try-it Sampling within the Bazaarvoice community. I was happy to get this because while I do have a k-cup coffee machine, I still like a fresh cup of coffee made from coffee grinds. I believe this is still the tried and true way. What I love about this particular coffee maker is how it uses a Kettle technology, which I didn’t know about this before, and an advanced water flow system. This is unique because usually coffee makers that use grinds will make a full pot, but with this you can choose to have 6, 8, 10, or 12 fl oz and brew it right into a cup instead of pouring from an entire pitcher. The machine has a 74 oz Illuminated water tank. The HotCup uses #2 filters, but aren’t included. It does come with a measuring scoop and has a dishwasher safe brew basket. There is also a convenient on/off feature that is energy efficient. It’s also very easy to register this product online versus filling out the paper. It is quicker and can be found at the company’s website.
