[Rewarded Review] Earns Spot in Small Kitchen

A capable kettle! Intuitive and versatile. Purchased a short time before Hurricane Helene and had established as key player in my kitchen quickly. Tea and coffee the most, but any other uses requiring hot water! Missed it so much while power was off. but with electricity back we are still with out potable water. Having this kettle with drinkable water securely contained and at the ready for heating and using is a nice convenience with the juggling of non-potable running water and bottled water for drinking and much kitchen use.

Love this teakettle, but ....

This is the second OXO adjustable temperature teakettle, the first one served long and hard but finally the top wouldn't latch or release, but this was after many years. The new one works great, with the same great features, like keep warm. The only problem is the fill-level scale is wrongly calibrated - it takes 36-oz to get to the 32-oz line. The old one is perfect 32-32.

Not lasting.

While the kettle does allow you to heat water to different temperatures for different teas which improves the taste. We are on our third one this year as the previous 2 worked for little over 2 months and stopped working. Likely would not buy again

Great for any use that calls for hot water. Wide mouth. Easy to clean.

Temperature easy to adjust, I live at altitude so 212 degrees set for boiling wouldn’t work, with this one I can set it where I want.

Absolutely love our electric kettle! Boil water so fast and the temperature adjustable feature is very easy to use. Highly recommend this!

Terrible Design Flaw

This kettle has a serious design flaw. The way the top stainless steel section is connected to the glass body of the kettle results in an internal lip, which makes it all but impossible to pour out the last bit of water from the kettle. This means there will always be a little bit of water left behind in the kettle, which is terrible for mold build up. Also, based on the glass and stainless steel design you might assume as I did that this would be a plastic free kettle, but it is not the case. There is some sort of plastic/silicon sealant around that same lip and also around the thermometer at the bottom.

Best kettle ever

If you brew various kinds of teas, this is the one to buy! Completely adjustable temp so you can experiment with brewing temp and time. Looks nice on the counter and has large capacity.

Still has plastic material exposing your hot water! (Not fully glass or stainless)

Returned because the plastic seal at the bottom was exposed to the water in the kettle, which will leach, especially with hot temperature. Was looking forward to a complete glass and stainless kettle and was really sad I had to return it because of one overlooked detail

Work on replacement base

We love the unit. This is the third or fourth unit we have purchased. The base keeps burning out and it is impossible to find a replacement base even for purchase. We use constantly every day and as a result the 3 to 4 bases that have burned out always happen a week to a month after the warranty is up.

Love it!

I love being able to select the proper heat temperature for my green teas. It heats the water fast and has helped me get out the door in the morning having had my tea time. Thank you for this great product.

its okay

working as expected and easy to set up desired temperature but my biggest issue is with the upper lip, i can't empty the kettle to last drop. so every time i boil new water there is always old water in it from last time i used it. i think its a flaw on the design. shaking the kettle upside down helps a bit but we shouldn't even need to work that hard to empty kettle.

Great kettle.

This is the second Adjustable Kettle I’ve purchased. The first lost its ground terminal from the three prong plug and began to heat the water too hot too quickly. I suspect it just wore out from use!! Other than that, the kettle worked as advertised.

Best purchase ever. I’m a tea girl but regular kettles are cumbersome and I really want to see inside. It kind of irks me when I can’t. The kettle part is cordless which is great for refilling or entertaining. Having adjustable temps is an ultra cheat code if you like different types of tea. Totally worth the extra coin imho.

I like it but too complicated.

It took me some time to learn how to operate this programmable kettle. Has too many features. It had no leaflet with instructions in the box. I never know how to program it. Seems to me to be a bit too complicated. Should be simpler. My previous one was a simple one on off button kettle. Please provide instructions in the box so we know how to use it.

Doesn’t hit 100°

Even when I set it to 100° the temp doesn’t exceed 95°. I suspect it may be an incorrect reading as the water will boil and steam comes out.

Almost perfect

Not much to say here other than I wish it had a longer, retractable cord. That would make this the best kettle money can buy. I read lots of reviews and compared other glass temp-control kettles, and this one really caught my eye in every comparison for speed, best control over pour (other than gooseneck) and temp control options.
