Perfect Aire DIY 9,000 BTU Ductless Mini-Split

This mini split installed easily and functions well. I am pleased with this product.

Chill was great but Perfect Aire NOT

Got the mini split about a year ago. The outdoor unit was defective. While it does come with a warranty Perfect Aire makes it very difficult. They require a technician to come out to trouble shoot on your dime. Most local companies will not work on "off" brands. I did call in a favor and found out the reversing valve was broken. Still Perfect Aire was institutionally reluctant to send a new one. Luckily Chill stepped in and forced the issue but even that took about two months. The system now works with with a new outdoor unit. The stress, however, of resolving the situation was not worth it.

Easy installation and great results

Very easy to install - just followed the instructions to the letter. Took around 3 hours. Quality of the components is great. Very pleased with the results. This unit was needed to heat a previously unheated laundry room and adjoining spaces, and it does the job admirably. One note - don't use the app "scheduling" option. Use the automations option instead. The scheduling is unreliable. The app in general is not great, but it works with Google and that's all we wanted.

Ordered a 9K mini spilt Perfect Aire. Install was a moderate but took my time and got it done. Make sure to inspect the box becuase Chill Mini uses 3rd party frieght carriers who sometimes beat the crap out of the pallet the AC comes in.
