Good AC but dispaly poorly designed

Have had it a year, cools the apt pretty well. BIG issue is that the display lights which indicate Mode, Fan Speed, etc. are so tiny you can barely tell which one is on or off. My AC is below the window so have to kneel down to see it. Could have been designed better. Also quite noisy.

Cools effortlessly and not overly loud.

Fit window with no problems. Cools effortlessly and isn't so loud you can't sleep. Plastic inside cover is not very tough. Was cracked on the left side all the way through about an inch and a half. Came out of the box this way even though it was packed very well.

We installed this unit about a week ago. It was annoying that the "maximum" window height is only 40" inches, so we had to build a custom frame to fill the window at the top. Honestly the frame I built is nicer and likely more energy efficient anyways however. Otherwise the installation went ok.

No temp display on the remote

The unit came with a handy support unit that better supports the unit in the window. The one thing I didn’t like was that the remote didn’t show the temp selected. As a side line my son got the same unit as a standard casement unit and the remote shows the temp. This would be especially helpful when controlling the unit from across the room in the evening.

Bad Fan Bearing and Only 2 Years Old

Purchased unit just under 2 years ago from Concord, NH Lowe's, and was installed through the wall, inside a protected carport. Light New England use had it working properly, through the 2021 cooling season. Upon turning unit ON for the first time this season, the unit's fan was much louder than normal operation, and constantly provides a serious distraction to any attempt at conversation, reading, study, etc. This unit was purchased brand new to replace an LG casement which developed the same issue, but which took 16 YEARS to do so, not 2! It's the same physical size and cooling capacity.
