Great buy!

I purchased this unit and got it installed through The Home Depot in October. It was a great buy and the way its currently operating is a total upgrade from my last unit. What stands out the most is that It cools and warms within 30 min and more square footage than expected. Haven't sat down to play with it yet but when I came home today. My husband exclaimed how well it worked in heating more than one room after I turned off the central unit. Would totally recommend this product or buy again.

Works fantastic! Just what we needed to warm up our Kitchen, which has always been the coldest room in our house.

They're selling an inferior product, and HD and Pioneer both know it. Immediately after the install, the heat did not work. I called the number that came with the unit, and they would not do anything to make it right (because they know their product is garbage.) I went to Home Depot, where two managers sat with me and talked a very good talk, and promised repeatedly to call me. Over a week later, since they had not followed up at all, or called, I told them I wanted a refund. They quickly agreed to the refund. I had to hire someone to come and uninstall the worthless Pioneer unit, then drive an hour to HD to return it. The managers at HD were cordial, and refunded the purchase without any hassle, but in the end, we're a big disappointment. The Pioneer system is garbage, and the manufacturer knows it. Don't waste your money.

Nice, but no internet or wifi connectivity, even if you want to buy the dongle, none are available. For the price I paid It should come with the unit. Hope it will last.

So far so good

Only had it maybe 2 months so far and it works great. Only tried cooling so far and this little unit actually cools down my 1100 sq ft shop ( my spray foam most likely helps quite a bit ). Buddy installed it in like 30/40 minutes

Instructions let me down

I have to call out the instructions which led me to hours of wasted time and an incredibly frustrating installation.

I installed this product myself, no previous experience installing HVAC. I am very handy and a long time do-it-yourself guy.

Fake advertising

I recently bought one of your mini split system and the boxes were missing two essential components, the power line and the AC lines. My request for those items was denied by your customer service.

I use this mini split in my wood shop. It has done a great job this summer, so quiet you wonder if it is on. Should be interesting to see how it performs this winter.

Great performance for the first year then minor repair annually

Installed myself. Converted a 420FT Garage and used the 12,000 btu 208/230V model. Easy DIY by the homeowner if you are mechanical and have some remodeling talent. Its pre-charged, so all you need is a Vacuum pump ($35 Amazon) , flare tool ($15 Amazon) and thread sealer (lineset connections). Saved $600 HVAC technician fees.

Quiet!

First ill start with the outdoor unit did come dented, but was able to fix. Brother inlaw, who is an electrician installed it for me in a loft above my detached garage. Its quiet, cooled the place right down. He mounted the outdoor unit about 4 ft off the ground on the side of the garage. I love this thing works WAYYY better than the window unit i was using!!!

Just installed it last week . Unit is very quiet and cools fast . I am very happy . Installation was done by a friend contractor and it only took few hours .

Works great so quiet

I was surprised how quiet the outdoor unit is I thought it wasn't even running I could feel cold air coming from the vent. I DIY installed this, but I have auto AC experience have all the professional tools needed even nitrogen tank and regulator to pressure test. YouTube has lot of good videos you can find a contractor to finish off the lineset testing and vacuum I highly suggest bubble and pressure testing prior to vacuum. Pioneer has a list of HVAC techs they recommend.

Really nIce unit. Very quiet and efficient, hardly know it is running. Great product with a surprisingly low price. Probably not the last one I will buy.

The install was easy as long as you studied the YouTube videos. The instructions are vague and ant times are inaccurate. The performance is very good. I installed it in my garage shop. It reduces the humidity quickly. This winter I will probably insulate more. I’m planning on purchasing another unit for our family cabin.

Home Depot website showed 5 units in stock on 7-6-2024. We drove from out of town to get our order in. Paid for unit. Here it is 2 weeks and no pickup in store yet. WHAT IS GOING ON?? Pioneer 12k BTU mini split 230 volt

This thing is great, way more than I expected and quiet. Can hardly hear it even on high speed. Should have bought one years ago. I even figured out the remote.

It worked for two seasons only

After two seasons the indoor unit started leaking refrigerant, still under warrant but not so fast..., they offered a free coil replacement but to hire the professional to do the work it would exceed the cost of the new system. It doesn't make sense, 5-year warranty they offer is more like bait and switch. Regretting now not buying a better quality brand unit.

Bad instructions, they rely on youtube postings mostly. My first one and many questions were left for me to search for. Manual does not match my model, too generic for an installation manual.

I really want to like the unit, here in the Ca desert temps reach 115-120 in July- Aug. I installed it without a hitch, however some weeks later as temps climbed the unit shut off and gave an over heat temp error. Stopped when I needed it most. I shut if off, rebooted and nothing worked until I hosed the condensing unit with water and it came back on a minute later. I sent a message to Pioneer with no response. :(
