Solid well built but heavy, will last 50 years no problem. Install was with 3 people, due to weight, the connection are standard. Recomend a competant plumber to do the install, in 3-4 hours. Not recomended for DIY, although if your handy, its is doable, but not recomended. Homedepot took 2 weeks to get and deliver to the pickup store site, very slow. Make sure you know the size of the tub you need and if its is left/right for the water fixtures.
I would give this product a better rating if it didn't take several weeks to weed out tubs that were damaged or dropped by forklift drivers... Clearly the boxes had damage but we didn't see damage to the tubs until we got them in the light. Finally...the 3rd tub was received undamaged.
Princeton Tub
Had this tub installed in 2019 as advised by our contractor. The tub has too much flex in the tub floor and creaks, So disappointed. Don't go cheap, avoid this tub. Still creaks.
Apparent Defects in enamel and warp in tub
We inspected the tub before installation and didn't notice the very light crazing at the sloped end of the tub until I got on hands and knees to clean it for the first time. You can see it if you zoom in on the photos. Very concerned that it will get worse over time. Our contractors were very careful and kept the tub covered as they worked, so I'm certain it came this way. Also has a distinct warp in the middle. Very disappointed in the quality. Would be great value if better quality.
Exactly what we needed. Great material, doesn’t way a ton, and seems durable.
Good looking bathtub. Like it
Americast Bathtub
A great tub with good color and a nice feel to the surface.
[Rewarded Review] Bathtub Finishad
Do not buy this bathtub. I had this bathtub professionally installed in 2003 during a total bath remodel job. After 10 years the water started pooling in front of the drain and finish started to deteriorate and rust is forming on the bottom of the tub. The tub is now starting to rust even on the side of the tub. I have used nothing but the recommended Bon Ami cleanser and a soft sponge when cleaning.
How did this pass inspection?
Chose this after reading bad reviews of other products in price range, wanted insulated tub. Waited weeks for shipment (Canada stock is all in Toronto warehouse?). Box arrived in perfect condition, no reason to suspect issues. Plumber arrived to install, found two large oil-tinted patches (faulty paint job under glaze) and something like claw marks on the front tub face. We’re now on the hook for rebooking the plumber (and the tile guy to follow) after losing a day scrambling to find an adequate acrylic tub as an in-stock replacement. No excuse for this failure of inspection!
Get a Different Tub
Hate this tub and if I could remove it I would. Get a cast iron tub if you can.
This tub is beautiful and fit my bathroom very well!
Questionable quality
I've installed 2 of these in 2 different houses.
This is definitely not a soaker tub. Good for those who find it difficult to step in and out of tub. Lower profile than other tubs but that worked out for me in the end. Not for bath lovers.
Decent Tub -- Will require additional modification
Overall tub is not bad. A little flimsy, but not more so than other brands. Problem comes at the drain outlet. You will not, as the instructions show, be able to simply attach the drain assembly and install. The wall thickness at the drain outlet is too thick. We ended up having to mill off around an 3/16" to the underside of the drain outlet so that the drain plug
It is very beautiful and nice appropriate size and color for my children’s bathroom not slippery it has a rough surface, easy to clean . The contractor said it is a good quality made of , not heavy sturdy, not easy to break easy to install. Encouraging to buy
Perfect height, easy to install
Great tub
This tub is a great look and much lighter than a cast iron. Easier to get to the second floor.
Simple and classic and easy to clean!
Great communication throughout on delivery. willie & Javonte were prompt, courteous and professional delivering the tub.
The item did not work out for my project. I also found out a cheaper one for 320 and Wayfair is charging me almost 600 plus return fee. This is the worst experience with Wayfair. I expected a full refund for this item.
