Bought as Xmas present for my husband to tailgate up on the mtn when skiing. Compact, sturdy and very hot grill. Perfect for what he wanted. Ordered the carrying bag today.
Great grill
Great grill, easy to use and clean. Perfect for camping and home use
Sturdy Little Grill
I received this product as a gift and I really haven't had a chance to use it. It was easy to put together and it looks sturdy on its versa stand. I will be using it as soon as I get a bottle of propane too hook to it.
Extend legs are not working properly
I purchased this for my husband as a Father’s Day gift. He really likes it as far as grilling goes, but sadly the legs that extend are VERY hard to extend. I reached out to Cuisiart to see about replacing them (keep in mind we had the grill less than a week) I was informed they don’t have replacement legs. I was told to reach out to the seller, but was told by the seller to reach out to the manufacturer. So with that being said we are currently using the grill as a table top instead of it is complete intended purpose. Again he loves the size, its heat adjustment ability and how well it cooks our food. Legs are the issue!
Great little grill - very portable -- yet a good size grilling surface - love it! Rates higher than Weber, etc.
This small compact gas grill met the expectations for the confined area it was to. It's attractive, and meant for the needs of the one person using it.
Adapting to 20 lb tank
I ordered the hose so that I could use a 20lb tank instead of the small ones. Be forewarned that you will need two fittings to hook it up plus partial disassembly of the grill. Another $10. You need to remove the gas pipe from the grill, 3 screws because you need to remove that regulator. Be careful not to lose screws or clamp. Then you can unscrew the regulator that comes on the unit. That tube has 1/4 NPT threads. The hose fitting says 5/8 - 18 UNF threads. So obviously you need to adapt. It took some searching but I finally found a combo that would work, 1 each. Everbilt, brass pipe, coupling, LFA-732, 1/4 in FIP; Everbilt, flare union, 3/8 in FL X 1/4 MIP, LFA-182. Remove the rubber gasket in the flare fitting. Secure all fittings before returning pipe to grill. Make sure you are lined up properly over the gasket area where the clamp goes. Add tank last and then check for leaks with liquid soap. Hope this saves somebody the aggravation I had.
Grill is about what I expected. If you only intend on using it with small bottled gas, no problem. I wanted to hook it to a 20 lb tank so I also bought the regulator with hose. You must partially disassemble it to remove the regulator that accepts the small bottled gas. The hose fitting and threads on the grill do NOT match. Regulator label says threads are 5/8 X 18 UNF (which is a machine screw size). The pipe on the grill is 1/4 NPTS (National Pipe Thread Straight). After a lot of time and frustration at Home Depot, I think I MAY have a set of two fittings (another $10) that hopefully will work and not leak. Legs pull out and lock okay but I believe the best use of this grill is as a table top.
This little grill is amazing. The plate has grids so you can get a good char on your steak. It heats up 100 times faster than a regular gas grill and can fit food for two people.
Great product for occasional grilling or if you need a portable grill. Can fit food for two people easily. Heats up quickly. I have had this for three years and its still going strong
I would not buy this again
I sent my first one back because of leg problems, now got the second one and same leg issues so sending it back as well. Very poor leg design. So hard to get folded back to compact size. Cook great though. Too bad legs ruined it for this grill .
I would by this product again
This is perfect for apartment living. I don't have a patio so I needed something I could put in my store room when not in use. This collapses into the perfect size to store and is big enough to cook on for my family of four. It is very easy to use and made with great durability and quality.
Great for its little footprint
Great little grill so far, for 1 or 2 people this works great, light weight and super easy cleanup and storage.
I like the unit. BUT..I unpacked it - got it...
I like the unit. BUT..I unpacked it - got it ready to use - had it in my house - never used! Ants came in my house after it! THEN, I used it - I store it indoors because it is too nice to leave out…ANTS! Even when I really clean it! And it is NOT easy to clean. I wanted it because condos in Lakewood, CO has a rule - no large propane tanks allowed. I wanted a grill to make things easy. This did not do it! Love Cuisinart appliances - this is JUST TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE. Gonna get rid of the ants, clean the garage, store it out there - cook out the garage area - after I mitigate the ants there too. Nice idea. Reality bites on this one!
Cuisinart portable gas grill
Easy to use especially with the retractable legs! Perfect for the deck table or take with to tailgates!
It really doesn't get hot enough. It's only okay. It's nice and compact, so if that's what you're looking for, you may like it. I just don't feel like I can get a good sear on steaks, and it's hard to clean.
Cuisinart CGG-180 Portable Grill
Great Portable Grill to carry in RV. Legs extend to easy to use height and keep the grill stable.. Cooks .with good temperature control. Carrying handle is great and locks while moving grill. Sets up fast and is a really nice addition for cooking outdoors in hot weather so you don't heat up your RV. .
Best little grill out there!!
Love It!!! Small size makes it easy to move. Folds up easily. Was easy to put the stand together. Easy to use. Cooks wonderfully and even. So glad I got this grill.
Fantastic little bbq you can toss in your car for a day trip. I did quite a bit of research, and this one was highly rated. Easy to manage and no bad points at all. Please note, there's the same model with longer legs that can stand on the ground as well, the "CGG-180 Petit Gormet", which won't take up your picnic table space or you can use easily at home or tailgating. But the legs stick out a bit more when folded. Depends what you are looking for.
Really pleased. Just cooked steaks in 20 degree windy weather. Worked great - nice and hot. Only drawback is that the starter doesn’t work and you need to use a match or fire stick. I am really pleased with this grill. Perfect grill for 1 or 2 people.
