High quality range hood. Fit perfectly in my allotted space. Easy to install & looks great. Very quiet on low speed & lights are nice & bright. Highly recommend.

Pretty good hood

Nice design & high CFM. Works well & simple to install. Had scratch in the upper duct cover (due sharp edge on lower cover), tab on LED broke & touch controls flaky. Bought end 2021, installed Sep 2024. Support sent replacement parts without any issues!!!

Have to replace mesh filters

Had my house built less than 2 years ago. Both mesh filters are falling apart. The metal used in the latches that keep filter in place have broken and are falling apart.

Hate using ~ too LOUD

Zephyr ZSA-M90DB 36" range hood: Beautiful styling and a great work light are its only redeeming features. Initially we hooked it up and powered just on its lowest setting we were surprised and very disappointed how LOUD it was, even without ducting connected. No improvement when connected properly to ducting ~ so loud that I cannot hear someone next to me talking normally. Consequently, I almost never turn it on when cooking, defeating its purpose. Turned up to high it is like a jet engine. Embarrassing if you are cooking for company. Contacted Zephyr and they argued that without metallic clicking or obvious mechanical problems it is probably all normal. I insisted that they send someone to check it out. Technicians were not able to improve the noise level and concluded that the fan is probably just too large for the size of the unit. Bad design. I guess this would be acceptable if it was only a $100 range hood but a pitiful rip-off at $1000. REAL expensive just for a fancy overhead task light.

Elegant and quiet range hood

Very nice, quiet range hood (setting up to level 3) yet has adequate power at 685 CFM. It was a bit hard to install since one of the mounting hole is hidden above the control board and you have to go by touch to tighten the screw. Also the control board and blower take up most of the central section so you can't mount that part to a stud. The Savona unit also has a 1" trim around it so that it does not sit flush on the existing backsplash if you have one that doesn't go all the way up to the ceiling. Zephyr should consider trimming the backside of the 1" trim so that it can sit flush if there was an existing backsplash. Otherwise, it's a beautiful range hood. Don't forget to remove the protective film before you install the range hood. It takes some force to rip it off.

Beautiful and efficient range hood

Looks great and works as advertised. The fan is a bit noisy at higher speeds. But overall, we are very happy with this Zephyr range hood.

The hood installs fairly easily. The ducting was our challenge. Would have been 5 stars if the telescoping duct cover fit better!

Great Bang for the Buck hood vent

I had wanted a matte black hood, but this is a subtle gloss so worked perfectly in our remodel. Used 36" over over 30" stove & it gives great "bang for the buck"

Install challenge

Beautiful hood, performs well and is relatively quiet. Installation could be better thought out - utilizing a bracket similar to hanging a microwave would be an improvement. Providing longer covers to accommodate the more typical ceiling heights in today's kitchens would be a plus.

Very good vent hood

Great quality, sturdy, looks great and works very well. The led lighting is excellent and I really like the responsive touch controls. Only negative is noise level which is expected at high speed, but is neatly as noisy on lowest speed.
