Be careful. The add description is deceptive. The seat does not stay down as pictured but needs weight on it to stay open making it very dangerous to use. On top of that, I was charged $15 to return and item that is being misrepresented. Buyer beware

nice shower seat, and easy to install

I am happy with this product, however we have not been able to use it yet since our bathroom remodel is not completed. It is exactly as expected and hundreds of dollars less than the remodeling company would have charged for the same thing!

Works well, some what hard to install.

This wall-mounted shower seat has a ridiculous design. It is spring loaded which means as soon as you stand up it springs back closed. As far as I can tell there is no way to deactivate the spring mechanism. It would be a major improvement if you could set the seat to remain open.

This is a great seat. I installed and stood on it. I did not use the anchors that came with it. I used a brand that Lowe’s sells. Can’t think of the name but each anchor was good to 265lbs in drywall it said. So through drywall and tile I feel very good about it. I did not do a great job of keeping it perfectly level or plumb so once all the anchors were in and tight, the wood back did not fit correctly. I was able to use caulk to keep them in place and it still looks and works great. Also, it was a challenge for me to do all that because the seat is spring loaded so I had trouble holding the seat down and marking the places to drill. Maybe have a way to keep the seat open like a little pin or something.

Very nice, affordable seat option that does not take up a great deal of space. If someone is using to slide on and off, the metal edge is sharp so I would try another option. However, we purchased for a shaving seat and it is perfect!
