Great stainless steel Teakettle
Great Teakettle, really nice looking! The whistle works, too! I am so happy with the Teakettle! Just what I need! Tea is very healthy!
Wake Up to Calming Whistle
It's quiet calming whistle awakens you while awaiting to pour water over coffee or tea. Excellent design. Easy to open top. Handle is far above heated kettle. Just DA'-BEST!!!
i think this pot will do better onan electric stove.
Great Stovetop Kettle
My previous kettle fell and the top broke which necessitated the purchase of a new one. Cuisinart is of course a well known and quality brand so it was a no brainer to purchase one. It is a top product and performs well.
Poor quality teakettle
Very cheap quality! Not worth the price. Very thin floor of the pot. Makes crackling noise when boiling water. I had to replace this item as soon as possible after purchase.
Will not buy again
I only had this item for about a week and had to throw it away just now. The whistle did not go off even so it had water in it. The top of the lid was melted off and my whole kitchen smelled like burnt plastic. I was lucky my smoke detector did not go off . I live in an apartment and it is pretty late. Kind of disapointing i was waiting to get a tea kettle for a while . The stove top pot i was using worked way better . i noticed sometimes if the teapot was not aligned with the stove top it will not give off any whistling noise. I think the lid was the best part of this item.It had a tight seal and the handle was easy to pull out without burning my fingers. Overall i would not recommend buying this tea kettle. I would just set a timer with a pot of boiling water instead and wait until you have the funds to buy a good one.
Good
My husband needed a new teakettle to warm up water for his coffee. Ive purchased soo many different brands for him & they never lasted. This pot heats up water soooo quickly but unfortunately, the cover from the part where the water comes out has already melted. It still functions well but bummed it didnt fully hold up.
Great little T kettle!
The Cuisinart 2qt Stovetop Steam & Soothe Teakettle is a delightful addition to any kitchen! Its sleek design and durable construction make it a joy to use daily. I love how quickly it heats up water, and the soothing whistle adds a touch of charm to my tea-making routine. Plus, the comfortable handle and easy-pour spout make serving a breeze. Overall, this teakettle is a fantastic blend of style and functionality, making it a must-have for tea lovers everywhere!
Too hot to handle- do not buy
Disappointing and not safe. The handle gets so hot when the water boils that you need to use a pot holder to pour the water. The plastic spout has now melted after only 4 months of boiling water and the red color is starting to chip away. There is also a metal pin that keeps slipping out of the handle which will scratch you if you are not aware. I should note that this teapot is used by 2 careful adults who do not abuse the item and are very attentive when washing the pot being sure to never use an abrasive. Definitely do not buy.
Sleek Teakettle!
This teakettle is perfect for my kitchen with its black granite countertops. The water comes to a quick boil and you'll know you're ready to steep your tea when it whistles. It works well on my glass top stove and it is very reasonably priced. You usually can't go wrong with Cuisinart.
Sleek and stylish black teakettle
Our previous teakettle, a stainless steel Oxo, was discoloring badly, despite our best efforts to keep it clean. The black Cuisinart model appealed to us with its sleek good looks and whistling feature. We're very glad we purchased it. It's stylish, modern and functions as intended. May it live long and prosper.
Great purchase! 10/10
Sturdy construction, well made. My go-tea kettle. Whistles when boiling - very convenient. I use it everyday. Ergonomic handle with easily removable lid. I especially love how when I squeeze to open the spout it stays in place. I'm so glad I made this purchase.
Cannot put red tea kettle on high heat
We got this tea kettle in red for Dad. He said he liked it, very pretty, but came with instructions that it could not be put on high heat. Only medium heat. Takes much longer to get hot water. Ridiculous.
Disappointed
I'm a little disappointed in this kettle. It's beautiful to look at (makes everything else in the kitchen look dingy), but in comparison to my old kettle, it takes a long time to bring water to a boil. And the whistle is pretty pathetic. I don't think I'll hear it unless I'm in the kitchen or very close by. Expected more from a Cuisinart-branded product.
Cuisinart teakettle
I like my new Cuisinart 2 qt. teakettle. It is the perfect size for me. I like the matte black finish with stainless steel bottom. The matte black finish resists smudges and fingerprints. The opening to the teakettle is easy to operate from the handle. The handle is easy to use. The only criticism of this teakettle is that the whistle on the pour spout is not very loud. I can hear it in the kitchen, but not from another room in my house. I wish it would whistle louder.
Well constructed and sturdy
I needed a new tea kettle. My old one for many years was glass see through, where the black plastic top was melting off. I saw this one on sale and thought let me give it a try. I was so used to a see through kettle, that I wasn't sure if I could get used to an opaque black kettle. My oven is black, so it's a perfect match there. I like that I don't have to remove the top to pour the boiling water. This one is a winner! It is well constructed and the handle is comfortable. I am happy with my purchase.
melted nozzle, hot handle
Pros: • Cute shape • interior seems to be nice quality (no signs of rust after nearly a year of consistent use) • relatively easy to clean •no problems with the trigger to open the nozzle (it'll press naturally with the weight of a filled pot against your hand) Cons: More often than not (though admittedly, not entirely consistently), the handle is HOT. Judging by the looks and the box, it seemed like I'd be able to just handle it with my hand, but I have to use an oven mitt or a handle to hold it. Worse, the nozzle partially melted a few months ago, emitting a foul odor that triggered my fire alarm. That was the only time that happened, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Also doesn't hold heat very long, but that's to be expected by the material/thickness, so no points off for that one. Just something to consider.
yes it will rust even when you do everything they suggest
listen to the reviews, this kettle isn't like other Cuisinart items. it will rust. I didn't keep water in it, I only made enough for the cups of tea I planned to have in a day. I took the top off to let it air dry once I emptied it any water & it STILL began to rust. I don't know what's wrong with their kettles but unlike their other quality items, the kettles are not worth it. I wasted $ trusting the Cuisinart name and I should've purchased a kitchen aid, like I thought of in the first place. save your $ & don't buy this
