Great salt and pepper mills!

Both the salt and pepper mill work great! Very fast and efficient. The light is a nice addition. My only complaint is that the packaging (not the delivery box) was ripped and damaged. A minor issue of course but I was giving this as a gift and had to tape it all together. It looked like it had been ripped open.

Love these but they tend to wear out after a few years.

Cole & Mason Hampstead Electric Pepper Mill

Works very well. Replaced one (a different brand) that I had for about 15 years. Makes adding freshly ground pepper evenly so much easier!

Great upgrade

After using these mills for 15 years, my salt mill LED lamp failed. I upgraded to this mill w/two LED lamp & wide base. What a wonderful upgrade…..lots more light & not as prone to tip over. Now for Christmas gifts I need (4) full sets for the kids. Like everything the cost has gone up, but well worth it!!

Logistics

I ordered a Hampstead pepper grinder and a salt grinder. You sent me. a Hempstead salt grinder plus a Richmond set of two grinders . The content list is correct —how could you get it so wrong ?

a good grinder

The part I like the best is the motor is above the salt. In humid times of the year the congealed salt will not get into the motor as it has in 2 lower priced units I have owned. All it will be is just a clean up of the grinding mechanism. this is a pricey item but with the motor position and the 2 year warranty it seems to be worth the price.

My husband loves the salt and pepper shakers. They're easy to use when he is cooking and look so nice on the table.

Flimsy Motor Mount Mechanism.

Own two and not very durable, both now broken. The locking mechanism that connects motor assembly to mill is flimsy and broke with and the grinder just spins without grinding peppercorns. Stylish, but basically junk compared to the electric mills one can purchase on AMZ for a third of the cost that lasted over 4 years of heavy use.

A kitchen gem

Still going strong after many years of use. Obviously it's very well made.

Love the style, the technology of both the salt and pepper mill. Like the light on food when grinding. It is brand new so haven’t a longevity comment to make. Over all very happy with this product

These people put out high quality products, period. They have been around for over 100 years for a reason; they simply stand behind their products. We have used their mills for many years and they work great to this day. It’s nice to have a company that you can count on for excellent products and services and these guys truly exemplify that.

Makes Life easier

Having been using this for a month or so and love it!!!! Love the fact that there is a light so you can see the amount of salt even better. Wish there was more space for the amount of salt to add in but otherwise it is great.

Not Worth The Money

I received this as a set from my daughter as a Christmas gift last year and though it’s rarely rarely used, the salt grinder already stopped working. Very disappointing.

Never again!

Lasted just a year and both broke - buttons at the top which activate the grinders popped off and cannot be fixed. For $65 you expect something of better quality - particularly from Sur la Table.

So convienent

I so enjoy using the electric salt mill. So easy to use. Looks nice on my counter.
