I had a Rheem water heater previously. This mini is far superior. The rheem gave me lukewarm water and it took about 20 seconds. The mini provides instant hot water.

Runs well for the price and size

Runs well for the price and size. I like the small size. It provides warm water to wash hands. You will never get hot water, but I think this wasn't the purpose of the unit to provide very hot water. The only thing you MUST be aware, it needs a certain flow for the unit to turn automatically on and heat the water. If you have a tap with a controlled volume water flow, or if you have dirt of minerals deposit inside the tap, then the water flow will be affected and you will not have warm water. It is not a unit fault, so tried to look into making sure the flow of the water is reasonably high.

Way better than Bosch

Forget Bosch. I had two in a row overheat and explode the hose off the bottom. TWO IN A ROW! This Stiebel water heater is excellent. Stick with Stiebel.

This is a great solution if you have tons of electricity and very little space.

Hot water heater almost fits in your back pocket

Excellent product. Can believe it heats water this well in such au small package and when I say small it's about the size of a box of Girl Scout cookies or even smaller. The only problem was the pigtail coming from the heater has stranded wire. House wiring is solid. There is no correct way to marry stranded to solid. The pigtail should be solid or have no pigtail at all. I had to remove their stranded pigtail and install a solid pigtail which I COULD marry to the existing solid house wiring. I went from a gigantic 40 gal hot water heater to this little thing that NEVER runs out of hot water. Amazing!!!

Love it so far

One word of caution - it is VERY sensitive to pressure flow. If you have even the slightest bit of debris n your faucet filter it will not give you hot water.

Will not work

The heater was installed properly and double checked. Power was verified. Water was never heated. It is a piece of trash!

This product didn't work well for me

In all honesty the instructions say to mount the unit right under the faucet, however we couldn't do that. We mounted the unit about 6 foot from faucet and got poor results. I sent it back. Had we been able to follow instructions we may have gotten fair results.

Lukewarm Water

Easy to install but not powerful enough to get water temp over 80 degrees.

Much easier than a standard water heater

I had two standard water heaters in a small commercial building that were old and needed replaced. One unit was only servicing a bathroom sink and the other bathroom sink and a small sink in a kitchenette.

Great for my garage

I bought this water heater to put in my garage, it's just what I needed. Very satisfied with it.

Works great for small volume

Heater is small and compact so it allows use in tight spaces. It produces instant hot water and is perfect for a hand wash sink or small volume restaurant wash sink. It saves money by not having to heat hot water when not needed.
