Top of the line grill and performs that way. Tackles multitude of foods with ease and quickness. Can get exceptionally hot which makes searing/cooking steaks at a professional level a breeze. Also, man does it look good! Form and function at an extremely high level!

Mediocre

I bought my Summit years ago. While I'm happy with the longevity of the burners and associated propane components, the stainless shell work, the control knobs, the tuck away rotisserie were all cheaply installed and malfunctioned drom the start. A person spends a lot of money on these and you don't get what you pay for in the end. Not worth the $2500.00

[Rewarded Review] Well thought out grill

This grill is really nice...Searing panel is great and easy. And the side burner is much more convenient that I ever would have thought about. Expensive but nice.

Inside Rusting and Non Existent Customer Service

After less than three years, the grill is rusting in several places and is not usable. The flame comes out of a small fraction of one-two tubes and is only an inch or so producing no usable heat. The grate and flavorizer bars are rusting. A knob has broken. I have tried by phone to request replacement parts under warranty only to be hung up on two times. I tried to use your web chatbot, and the first time, after entering all the part numbers, the chatbot stated there was an error. I tried again, and after inputting all the part numbers, it would not let me complete the request. I have sent TWO emails with NO response. At this point, I am extremely an extremely unhappy customer. I paid full price for your grill that does not work and the warranty service procedure has been a nightmare. Below are the part #’s that I need to replace and install to make my grill usable again. After all of this, I request that you expedite my claim and send me the parts to allow me to grill again.

Impressive grill

Replaced a 25 year old stainless grill that had none of the bells and whistles. I've only used it twice so far, just getting familiarity with the systems available. The manual is clear on all the functions and procedures. The grill was assembles by Ace, so I don't have any feedback on ease of assembly. So far, so good.

Garbage Quality at a Premium Price Point!

A flimsy plastic knob broke on its first use. And it took 2+ hours and a full bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol to remove "protective" film & glue. Extremely disappointed.

Top of the Line Grill

The Weber s-470 is all the grill you'll ever need! More firepower/heat that you'll need. The rotisserie is great. The burners light consistently. Easy to clean. DO NOT opt for the installation for $96 through Angi Services. The guy rescheduled three times and it would have been almost a week before he could install it which you can do easily in about an hour. I cancelled the installation and am waiting for a refund.

Poorly design, cheap plastic, control knobs break

I have had my S-470 for about one month. On the most frequent use one of the Plastic control knows broke and would not shut/adjust the gas flow. I had to pull one of the other knobs to shut it off. Close inspection revealed a very poor design which was sure to fail. On attempting to order replacement knobs I discovered that Weber has these knows on Back Order with no anticipated restock date.

Great grill but have a few issues. Not perfect

I wanted to use the grill a few times before writing this review. The grill is awesome and I do not experience the flame ups normally experienced on the Weber Genesis. I really enjoy the smoke box. The grill cooks very well and my family has commented on how the food tastes a bit better. It is much easier to control the heat on this grill. It is also much easier and faster to clean. There are few items I am disappointed in. Gas valve to left of sear knob is hard to push in when during to light. It also requires the knob to be pulled out after lighting the burner to stop the lighting process. Knob is very rough when turned and does not move as freely as the others. Not sure how to correct this. I travel a lot and have not had time to reach out to your service department. The left door magnet was pushed into the door with just the corner of it still holding the magnet in place but it would not hold the door close. This was corrected by removing the bottom riveted trim panel, removing the magnetic holder from door and reinstalling. Trim panel was reinstalled. Doors are very crooked and could not be aligned with just sliding the doors in the bottom grooves. A washer had to be placed under the right door around the retaining pin to align it to the height of the other door. Both doors had to be slide to the far left to make them look symmetrical.

Easy to cook on and looks great on our lanai.

I like almost every aspect of the grill. It is easy to cook on and clean. Rotisserie makes great and juicy poultry. I even made a duck, it came out with crispy skin.
