Kid approved, Dad not convinced

This is not the playset of years past. The wood is very lightweight and soft unlike the materials from previous sets. I do not believe this set will last very long, but the little guy is really enjoying his new playset. I feel like the swings are closer on this set than previous sets. We shall see what happens when multiple kids are swinging. My only real complaint about this set is the instructions. They are less than desirable. All the hardware comes in bags marked with a number, but the number does not correlate to anything. On the material list and in the instructions the hardware is refereed to by size but the packaging does not have size anywhere. This led to a few issues. The instructions are pictures only, so there are times where the pictures are not clear and you have to go back and forth on steps to get things put together correctly. Then, in the end, the climbing wall just does not fit in the provided space. I think the rendering is missing something or a measurement is off. It is gonna take a trip to the hardware store and some artistic creativity before the set is finalized. But at the end of the day, the little guy is happy therefore, so am I.

Time consuming to assemble but not complicated

We ordered this for our grandkids (under 3yrs of age) and put it together ourselves. Previous reviews regarding the directions not being clear made me nervous but as it turns out it wasn’t too bad. My husband is pretty handy and it helped to organize all pieces by numbers , but it still took a good 6 hours to assemble. Nothing complicated, but definitely time consuming and a two person job. Very happy with the purchase.

The swing set arrived much faster than expected. It took a while to put together but it's sturdy and well built. We replaced the swings with toddler swings for now but it's easily changeable. I am very happy with this purchase.

We bought Willow Peaks as a surprise for our 3 young grandchildren. My husband assembled it, with my assistance. It helped that he is very handy. The wood is beautiful and in perfect shape and it smells wonderful. It took several days to put it together. You definitely need a an automatic drill with all the screws to put in, but that is what makes it so safe. The directions were clear. It definitely helped to have 2 people working on it. It would have been difficult to put up the beam that holds the swings without any help. The result is a very solid, sturdy and safe playset. The kids were thrilled with it! There are so many things to do on the playset to keep kids entertained. The straight lines and design make it look elegant, so it doesn't look like the circus has come to town in our backyard. Our house has cedar siding with an opaque stain and it didn't hurt that the playset matched it perfectly. My only complaint is that it took 2 weeks to arrive after the ship date.

The company this set came from sent damaged goods. Warped boards, cracked boards, very low quality for the price. You can't get a hold of the owner David May when there is an issue. Thank goodness Wayfair was super helpful!

Great overall playscape

I purchased this complete playscape for my granddaughter and we love it. I put it together by myself with no issues. The directions were easy to follow. The playscape is very sturdy and well designed. Only thing I would note is the pre-drill any boards that are not done (there is only a few that are not).

Very impressed with this set, exceeded my expectations. It is a beautifully put together unit that looks very good in our yard. Not one splinter or piece of damage to anything! Heartily recommend it.

Hire a professional to put it together!!!

I tried to read past the reviews that said to avoid buying this swing set because it takes so long together but I didn’t and bought it. This is NOT easy to put together. It takes three full days and the directions really aren’t very clear. We were missing the green tarp for our room but customer service did respond quickly and we received it in a few days. We do love the swing set now that it’s put together but it was a huge headache to deal with. The biggest mistake was not hiring someone to put it together for us. If you decide to buy this one, take my advice and pay the extra money to hire a professional!

We just got this delivered, it was earlier than expected. My husband built it on his own, with “tiny helpers,” in 1.5 days. He did briefly need “big help” 2x. The kids have had so much fun playing, and are excited to get outside. I wish we would have gotten one sooner.

Awesome playset

I just bought it today and my kids couldn’t stopped playing for hours. I was looking for something to keep them away from tablets and TV, now once they weak up they immediately rush to the play ground and enjoy the different options available in their play set.

Home Playground Set - Love it!

This thing is amazing! Directions are on-point (product #'s are stamped on the end-cap of each piece) The only issue I had was the screws that are pictured in the directions are slightly bigger than the actual piece. Definitely line up the screws first to be sure they do not go all the way through. Took me 8 hours by myself, but needed help to mount the tower roof frame (unless you go MacGyver and rig a pulley system). I would highly recommend this product.

We bought this for our kids for Christmas, and they really love it. Truthfully, the instructions were not 100% clear, but we figured it out. We ended up with two of one accessory and not one of another, but customer service was great and sent the item we needed out right away. Overall, we have no complaints and the kiddos approve!

[Rewarded Review] It’s okay quality

The wood is fairly thin and cracks easily, even with the predrilled holes, which is surprising. Takes a long time to put together. I spent 2 days and still have about 1-2 more until it’s finished. Instructions are okay, didn’t have much problem with them. However the parts are not always clearly labeled and that can be very confusing. I’m pretty handy, so I’m able to get it done, but if you’ve never put something huge like this together, expect quite a challenge.

We love everything about this swing set. From the delivery to the finished product in my back yard, it couldn't have went any smoother. Wayfair worked around my schedule and kept me updated every step of the way. The two delivery guys was very nice and did their job very well. The assembly went pretty smoothly! It's a good idea to get familiar with all of your parts before you start and expect some screws to be in another box as listed in the instructions that comes in the box (hint.....). Some of the stamps on the ends of the boards were a little faded and hard to read but you can figure it out if you pay attention to the pics e.g. shape and pre-drilled screw holes. I ended up putting all my boards in order by number. This worked well for me! The only thing that confused me was the numbers on the screw bags. Perhaps these are part numbers for the warehouse pullers and not so much labeled for the assembler. The bags don't have screw sizes or the types written on them but you can find the ones you need by lying them directly on the pictures on each page to make sure you have the correct one(s). Once I figured out what they were, I labeled the bag. Some bags did have different sizes in them though and perhaps it was bundled together that way for a specific part of the swing. Some of the same size was used in different parts of the swing. The instructions and illustrations were great! We did have lots of screws left over and about 3 boars, different sizes. I would rather have extra than not enough any day!! I would recommend this product and give 4.75 stars. We did have to improvise a little on the tarp by adding an extra board. I'm not sure if we missed something on the instructions or what but it was just easier to fix the problem rather figure it out. I put this together in 2 days starting out with 3 people (helping with the frames and flooring) and ending with one (things that didn't require 2 people). Thank you Wayfair!!! The children love it!!!

[Rewarded Review] Nice play set but not easy to install

Our daughter loves the play set and the finished product is great! Installing was not easy. Not all parts were included in shipment (including the directions but we were able to find them online from the manufacturer). We ended up with too many screws, not enough hex bolts, and an extra board that we couldn’t place anywhere. Customer service is sending us the tarp that wasn’t included but we bought our own bolts and one set of swing chains (we just wanted to get the project completed).

[Rewarded Review] Great Product but Terrible Instructions

Nice product. Good quality wood and hardware. But the instructions will drive you mad. There is no sense to how they labeled the hardware and the identification numbers on the boards where smeared to the point where you couldn’t read them. You will be guessing and praying that you are installing the right board in the right place with the right hardware for the whole build. They also didn’t include the chains and hardware for the glider. But a quick phone call and they said it’s in the mail. Hopefully it will show. But a week later after the build, and after your able to calm down, it is a nice play set.

Gave this swing set only a 3 star rating. In regards to the overall outcome of the set, grandson is happy and excited over it. In regards to the installation instructions, they were horrible. Need better instructions and it also needs better screws than what was provided. Took 4 people and 10 hours to complete.

The playset is very solid and pre-stained cedar. The kid loves it! Held a ~200lb man sitting on the platform during assembly. However, be warned the instructions have not been updated. I had to contact the manufacturer regarding swing brackets which were referenced but not included. Turns out they changed the drawing and you use washers instead and they email you the instruction sheet. Additionally, found extra pieces included in the parts manual but not in the actual assembly...quite maddening when you have a 47 inch piece of wood in the parts but can't find it in nearly 60 pages of instructions. A Home Depot review of same playset clued me into the fact they were extra. Otherwise, solid build just a mild headache with unnecessary multiple different styles of fastener (Star, square, and phillips drive screws and multiple size bolts with no rhyme or reason to the screw drive types.) Additionally all screws or bolts were standard English units except for the random 30mm screws...

It's a great swing set and our kids have had so much fun on it. The wood seems a little thin, and I've already noticed the stain has started to come. I hope this set lasts for a while as it was an investment. One of the swings came damaged. It looked like it was melted. I have yet to reach out to customer service but will do so.

I regret this purchase

After doing a ton of research on swingsets for my sons (almost 2 and 6 yrs old) I decided to spend the extra money on this swingset because (at the time) it was described as having a 10 ft long slide (most of these sets have an 8 ft long slide). There were several other similar sets for less money that I decided against because I thought the extra cost was worth having a slide that would be longer (especially for my almost 6 year old). When we received this set yesterday, I saw the slide and immediately grabbed a tape measure because it was definitely not 10 feet long. The slide is 8 feet long. I'm terribly disappointed. My husband and father are putting it together now and are having a hard time figuring it out. "Pre-drilled holes" are no where to be found and labels are worn to where they can't read them. They have been outside for 2 hours and are on step 3 of about 35+. The Hayneedle customer service rep was very nice and listened to my ranting about the 10 ft slide but she confirmed with the supplier that the set comes with an 8 ft slide. Coincidently, the site no longer says "10 ft Alpine Wave Slide" ....it just says "3 piece Alpine Wave Slide." I have no way to prove it ever said 10 ft and I'll be stuck with the irritation of knowing that it did say that because that's why I bought it. Ahhhh! The set seems nice enough but not worth the price compared to all of those other options with the same 8 ft slide. Nothing special about this one....go for a less expensive one, in my opinion.
