Would have given it four stars

Metal clips to hold finishing grill plate are very cheaply made and almost impossible to get on. Even after getting them on, they do not have enough strength to hold the plate firmly.

I wanted to upgrade a couple old versions of this fan. These are a nice improvement to the older version, very quiet. Shipping was very fast.

3-star rating isn't for the product - it's just a place-marker for these comments since we were unable to install the fan. The picture is misleading - there isn't a light on this unit so Home Essentials Direct needs to change that. We were willing to live with that but, unfortunately, we were unable to install this since our joist spacing is not normal and the "telescoping frame" didn't telescope in the direction we needed it to. Had to return.

Easy to install and quiet.

I purchased this item as used, but in new condition. I paid half price for it. This item may not have been a good value at double the cost. I was able to install it my self to save more money. The zone rating of .8 is accurately rated. It runs quite and the two lights are very bright. The night light is a bonus. This is my second one, with the first running well after two years.

Easy install, works well

After staring at a hole in my bathroom ceiling for the last 25 years left from a previous fan, I finally decided to install a new one. I liked the low noise this fan was advertised with and the great price. I installed it using a 20' flexible insulated hose and was disappointed with how loud it was. A call to Broan and I was advised to run a 3' straight pipe directly off the fan and then hook up the flexible tube, huge difference, very quiet. And after a long hot shower the mirrors and walls are all clear and dry. Great product, great price, great assistance from Broan.

The adapter is a foot long making it impossible to install to existing ceiling If the line is metal and elbowing up through the roof rather than out the side Or with flex vent. This is as loud as the 1.5 zone. Sounds tinie. Better off throwing out the brackets and just screw one side into the joist.

Super Quiet!!!

This unit is super quiet. When I first flipped the switch, I thought it might have been wired wrong, as I didn't hear anything for a couple of seconds. I did need to buy a large vent pipe, as my original one was 3" and this unit has a 4" pipe. The room moisture is GONE!
