Good to have

Great convenience but it doesn’t purify as much as I’d thought it would. Should have done more research.

We have a electric hot water tank and it take a while to get a steady flow of hot water in the kitchen but this instant hot water tap will save us money and help us by stopping the wastefulness of unused water going down the drain.

This product did exactly what it was advertised to do. Produced hot water with the push of a button to make coffee, tea, soup and many other reasons.

Filter

I've had InSinkErators for many years with no filter until now. It makes such a big difference. I drink tea and my tea has never been this good. The filter really is needed . I use my InSinkErator many times thru out the day. I recommend this 100%.

I am only assuming this filter works. Water goes in and then comes out. The water taste the same as it did with the old filter. It is easy to change. I only change them every couple of years. I am cheap but did not want a knock off filter, something that maybe uses old socks from a prison laundry.

Great so far

Purchased this model to replace the previous design as it was prone to failure. After flooding my kitchen, the F-1000S filter was recommended as a direct upgrade and replacement. Installation was easy and straightforward. I am happy to have clean tasting water from my instant hot water unit again. It’s too early to tell if this is the right move but is off to a good start.

I had this unit professionally installed. The plumber told me to be sure to watch the connections as they sometimes don't seat perfectly. It didn't. There is a T connector where a plastic tube slides in. BE SURE IT CLICKS IN or you'll get a slow drip. I used a thin rubber grip around the tube and was able to hear a 'click' as I pushed it in further.
