There are 3 small holes (visible )in the bathtub wall n the surface paint all ready pilled right after we install the tub

Only pitfall is the 4" ledge. A 2" one would leave more WIDTH and therefore more room to shower.

Great quality tub

Excellently constructed enamel cost iron alcove bathtub with a more attractive, sleek, modern look. It was easy to install and created clean lines in the bathroom.

Defective. There is an area on one side of the drain where the porcelain is very thin and the drain/strainer will not sit flush. The tub was manufactured over 2 years ago and came with yrs of warehouse filth so this couldn’t be seen until it was rinsed. Delivery gouged banister. Offloading tubs that should have been scrapped.

Do not buy kohler cast iron tub

Kohler cast iron tub has an anti slip coating on their bottom coating the cast iron. This material does not clean well. Constant dirt marks that do not come off. Tub is brand new barely used. Also rust stains. Brand new bathroom and tub and now I’m stuck with it because I would have to rip whole bathroom apart.

NOT A SOAKING TUB

The words “soaking tub” should never be included in this description. I am now living with this horrible mistake. I didn’t realize a tub with a 14” depth could be called a “soaking” tub. Other “soaking tubs” start at 30”+ depths. The tub I wanted was not available and my contractor had chosen this one. My requirement was that it be a cast iron “soaking tub”. Unfortunately for me It was installed and I’m so disappointed. This is a tub you’ll want If you have to give a child a bath. But if you’re a woman wanting a luxurious bathing experience, this will never fit that bill! Kohler needs to remove this verbiage from their description! Plus the drain flow position is low and it has an anti slip coating which feels like it’s gritty and you’ll never have a sparkling clean tub it makes it looks dingy.

I ordered 3 of these tubs. I like the look of the tub. One tub was so badly damaged in shipping, I refused to take it from the store. I wish Kohler took more pride in getting the product to the customer in good condition.

Great buy - especially if 30” tub needed!

This Kohler cast iron tub arrived in perfect condition. Finish is flawless. Only comment would be that the color white is a bit creamy while our new Kohler Memoirs toilet is a bright white.

Extremely disappointed

We waited 10 years to redo our main bathroom and researched best materials we could afford. We purchased this tub to replace a rusty steel tub and after install we noticed about 50 pin size rust specks in the finish. At first I thought it was dirt but after reading reviews I see this a very common defect. Now we will have to pay a plumber another $1000 to remove and reinstall the tub and have the contractor redo the whole shower area.

Nice tub but heavy!!

We purchased this tub (2 of them) for our home that is being constructed. It wasn’t until they were delivered that we realized it was as heavy as it is and one needs to go up a flight of stairs. This tub is 315+ pounds so really think about where it is going! Otherwise its a very nice, sturdy tub.
