The A/C did not meet our expectations and I bought two of the same for medium size rooms 1 a bedroom 2 a medium living room in both rooms you barely feel the A/C on, for 6000 BTU we should feel cool. In the pass we have had 6000 BTU for larger rooms and it was so powerful we had to wear light sweaters, with these we are still sweating even after an hour or two on. And the noise level, it isn't as loud as some A/Cs but you do need to turn your TV up when these are on.

The AC unit works great. Was easy to install. It is noisy so if you like white noise I’d recommend but if you are looking for something quiet, I would get something else. It has an ECO feature but for us it keeps the unit off too long overnight so we have to keep it off ECO in order to stay cool throughout the night.

Compact air conditioner that cools the room off almost immediately; love that it's energy efficient, doesn't have that ozone smell like my old one did, the eco setting, and the fact that it doesn't run all the time, only enough to keep the room at your selected temperature. I don't mind the sound of it going on and off, though some people might, and it's not as loud as the old air cons that were not energy efficient. I got a 10 BTU version and it's fantastic for my office. Love this model!

Works awesome

Super super cold placed the air on 69 using the eco button only runs when the temperature is higher then 69 and works wonderful. Stay with whirlpool you can’t go wrong. The unit will come on for about 10 seconds to test the temperature and will shut off without turning on the compressor if the temperature is still cool but if the temperature raises to the set number the compressor will come on

Keeps it cold, be careful with 2 units per breaker

We bought this because we had an older AC unit in our room so when our daughter ran hers it would trip the breaker. This AC minimized the issue but it still happened a few times. Overall it’s not super loud and having the remote is nice.

Not Product Advertised - Works fine, not noisey

The air conditioner is working perfectly. Only issue I have is if you purchase a specific product, that is what you should receive. The A/C I received was not the model pictured with the humidifier, even the model # sticker on the A/C was not the same. So buyer beware when purchasing a big item online because you’re not garaunteed to get what you paid for. I’m also not going to return it due to already installing it and it works perfectly fine so far (knock on wood).

I am giving this only three stars because the HANDY installation people have now cancelled our install TWICE. I knew they were going to cancel. Cancel once and then cancel again is NOT the way to do business. Very disappointed with your choice of install people.

Very easy to install in window. For a little one it sure is a beast especially with the heat and humidity. I use an extra oscillating fan near it and it spreads delicious cool air throughout my apartment and not just in my living room. Worth it!!

My first indicator should have been the box falling apart when I took the plastic straps off of it, but everything was in there and looked perfectly fine. After installing the unit it proceeded to do nothing but blow hot air. When the condenser did kick in, it worked for about 3 seconds before going back to blowing nothing but hot air.

Perfect little AC

This little air conditioner was the perfect size for our new homes fully enclosed breezeway. The home and breezeway were recently remodeled but the central air was just not enough to keep the breezeway/rescue pet hangout, really cool for the older ones.. but this little AC more than makes up the difference. It's very quiet and runs very smoothly.. so far so good! We also like that fact that it's a Whirlpool the same as our new appliances. The brand we've been buying for years.

Best cooler worked well for a year and noticed last summer, because it's only used in the summer here, that it has lost some of the cooling element. This year when putting it in the window, it is not cooling. Will replace with a Frigidaire. Date today is May 1st 2021 face.

Great ac unit

This unit is great. Bought for my room addition which is turned into an office. Quiet and strong. But extremely heavy. 2 people have to pick it up. And your window needs to be very tough, or buy a bracket to support it. Overall great though, I love it.

It's a little loud and the styrofoam insulation causes it to buzz when compressor is running. Definitely not a quiet cool. But it does cool and dehumidifys well. Let's see how many seasons I get out of it

Haven't installed yet,why--because the one I bought 17 years ago is STILL going strong. I bought this one because I really didn't think the old one would still cool as it once did--it does! Cools my entire downstairs, unreal.Bought a new one [different model] two years ago for the upstairs and am already having problems. This Whirlpool model may be hard to get but worth it at almost any price. Truly is a great machine.

I am very disappointed with this air conditioner. I am happy it is energy star, but that's about it.First off I purchased Whirlpool because I thought like the washing machines and dryers thatthey were made in the USA. They are not, they are from China like most ACs.Secondly, it is noisy beyond belief. It makes a very basey sound. Every time the compressorgoes on it sounds like it is going to vibrate right out of the window. The remote is nice and thedirectional shutters is nice, but the buttons are hard to make out at an angle so using theremote is almost very necessary. All I can say is I am glad I only purchased one of these. I will try another brand for my next replacement.

this unit started vibrating after a week of use and now sounds like a half empty washing machine at start up and after about 5 seconds it sounds somewhat normal though. it only cools my bedroom down about 10 degrees and has to run non-stop to keep it that way. i don't think i would buy this unit again if i had another choice. 7/17/19

Buying this air conditioner is one of the worst decisions. While it cools superbly, we are now on the third night where we have been woken up by loud rattling coming from the unit. You can open and close the filter door a few times, play around with the filter to get the sound to stop. Back to bed until the compressor cycles on again and then the rattles comes back.

Just installed and is one of the worst sounding air conditioners I’ve ever owned. Makes several different rattling noises and one of the fans must be broken because it makes a terrible grinding noise. This window unit was VERY easy to put together and to install in the window. It is relatively quiet and easy to use. I haven't had to use a window unit in several years and I was amazed at how easy it was to install into the window. I would recommend reading the instructions first, but once you do....you can install in roughly 10-15 minutes.
