I give the easy installation, quality so far, etc five stars. The fact that’s only a 130 CFM advertised as a 150 CFM is not ok.

Great fan. Very quiet. Continuous running may not be acceptable to some. Fan speed up when humidity is present.

Got this as a replacement for an old existing exhaust fan that was on its last leg. This is a really quiet fan and the humidity sensing auto on/off feature is really nice for managing the humidity as well as saving electricity. One thing I would note is that you need to make sure you measure your current installation vs this one as this is a much larger unit than you will find in homes that are a little older so it can be tough to make it fit your space - may require major surgery on your ceiling and existing ducting.

Though I list the need for a larger vent ductwork, this really is a plus. You just can't replace your existing fan without cutting a larger ceiling opening. And you must replace small 4-inch ducting with larger capacity 6-inch.

this is a great fan with some cool features, first off its quiet considering the size and the amount of air it moves. one thing to note if your using this to retrofit into an existing bath is the size, its larger than the generic builder grade fans in most homes and in addition to that it requires a 6" outlet vs the common 4". this is ideal for a bath that has no windows to help vent humid air with a smaller fan. the way it senses the humidity and the air flow it provides makes it perfect for that scenario and any other bath / laundry room use.

Safety first. If you are not handy I would recommend hiring an electrician and/or handyman to install this exhaust fan. The only thing you get in the box is the fan and the brackets to mount in the ceiling. There is now other hardware. You will need to purchase the exhaust vent hose and vent for the roof separately. Also, you will need to purchase the 3-wire electrical wire and a switch for power. If you are a DIYer, again, safety first. Turn the power off before you start work. The exhaust fan itself is quite and you can set the humidity level for the fan as well. the fan keeps the room clear of any moister. Make sure you purchased the correct exhaust fan for the area needed. If your not sure measure the room and take this to your loca Home Depot and consult with one of the representatives their. They can assist you in getting the correct exhaist fan and all the other parts for the job.

Air King exhaust fan. So here we have a variable speed with humidity sensor energy efficient unit. First of all this is a very large unit so be sure you have the space to install it. Second it’s a 6” ducting be sure this is the sizing of ducting you are installing or have existing. It’s not recommended to go from 6 to 4 inches as you will increase the noise level and not be able to move the air volume. Over all a nice unit , very quite on its lower setting but it’s level increases through its settings. You are able to set the production levels internally. The install is straight forward for new or existing installation , but again be sure you have the space 10”mimimim ceiling and ducting sizing. Basic wiring on off is easy and the internal humidity switch will increase the motor speed as required , more advanced switches are possible with instructions included but no switch. Build quality is better then average, grill is plain, note the fan squirrel cage is plastic. In my opinion this is a higher skilled DYI project no big deal for a tradesman. Great option for ventilation needs.

Made Right in the USA with domestic and imported components...Fan is amazingly quiet and moves a lot of air...The fan is also very large/huge and uses 6" rather than the more common 4" duct size so you will get to size your exhaust accordingly. Wiring connection was a bit of a pain and required moving motor to gain access from the attic. Settings for humidity sensing and fan speed offer great settings customization.

This fan has more adjustments than I considered possible. There are five switches that you can adjust after it is installed. It has a humidistat to let you set the “automatic on”, based on humidity. Then it has three timers for the low/medium/high speeds. And there is a switch for the default minimum CFM air speed, basically high or low. It is a well thought out, well built, well sealed, full featured unit. On the install, it has a trim ring that hides the ceiling cut. The fan metal box is about 13” square so a fairly tight fit in a 16” center stud bay (about 14.5” stud to stud). It is larger than the average contractor fan, i.e., the box is bigger, the duct is 6”, it is fairly “tall”, etc. Plan the install carefully. For example, I couldn’t put it as far towards the eave in the attic as I would like, due to the roof slope. My one minor complaint is that the mounting arms’ screw/nail tabs don’t stick out far enough to allow using a drill, hammer or ratchet to tight screws/nails. The mounting rail protrudes and conflicts. You remove the motor to install it so it is fairly light until the motor is installed. You can remove the control units (2), also, to end up with an empty box. I wired it with 12-4 w/ ground NM/Romex wiring, in case I wanted to install a heater/night light/light/fan or some other combo in the future. This unit only needs 12-2 w/ ground. I wire-nutted the spare wires in the fan wiring box. The fan also has a “boost” speed that I think converts it from the standard 130 CFM to 113 CFM with more static pressure (SP), per the label. The fan is very quiet in normal operation and the automation works nicely. It is also very nice looking.

This is a very high quality fan at an affordable price. Installation was pretty easy except for the wiring. To access the wires from the attic there is a very tiny triangular access port. There is no way to get your fingers in there to install a Romex connector. To access the wiring from below you need to remove the blower motor which only requires the removal of 2 nuts and washers, you can then remove the one screw holding the wireless cover in place. The only other issue you may run into with this fan is that the housing is quite tall. It extends about 3 inches past the 2x6 joists. I put a 2x4 frame around it so it wouldn't get hit with anything I store in my attic.
