The Friedrich A/C unit has the high cooling quality expected from this manufacturer. The control panel and remote are designed well and easy to operate. However, the WiFi needs more R&D. It’s Not user friendly and as a result, does Not work. They need to completely redo the WiFi.

Grille that comes with Uni-Fit AC doesn't fit USC!

TERRIBLE instructions. During installation have an extra piece of metal with diamonds that looks like it should go at the back of the sleeve but no instructions refer to it AT ALL. Then the grille that comes with the AC has pre-drilled holes that don't align with the USC sleeve. My installer had to drill new holes to attach the grille to the sleeve, because btw it's too big to attach to the back of the Unifit AC as an alternative. Who designed this product????

Not all parts included...

This was an unopened box, but I thought it would have been inspected before it was sent to me. It was in parts with NO extra screws at all. The back vent shield did not fit, had to rig it with wires, it was too small, in fact none of the 3-4 vent shield fit. ALL were too small and had to be rigged. The installation directions were not included, so I found them online, but they were terrible and assumed that we had all the right parts, but they were NOT in the box. All in all, I am glad we are creative, bc we made it work with other materials, but no thanks to the contents or condition of the sleeve I ordered.

Oversized

Works but oversized for the uni-fit series and could not attach grill to sleeve. Grill needed to be attached to the AC unit

Very pleased with this a/c. Really bought something that can do the job we need. Actually pulls humidity from more than one room. Have showed this model to a few of our friends. All liked it.

It worked

The sleeve fit into the opening that the old rusted out sleeve was in and the new a/c fit into the sleeve as it is supposed to fit. The welds along one side where the bottom is attached had popped during shipping. There was no evident reason for this to have occurred. I had returned a previous sleeve due to damage in shipping that caused some minor damage and also popped the spot welds. As it turned out the condition of the welds did not seem to affect the integrity of the installation of the a/c.

Perfect compliment to my new A/C

I purchased the Freidrich uni-fit sleeve to go along with Freidrich 14000 btu through the wall unit for my sunroom. No problems installing the sleeve and the replacement A/C unit fit perfectly.

Good product if you got the right measurement

Make sure you measure twice before you buy the sleeve. I got the wrong size the first time and find out before the installation.

I would not buy this product again

Purchased with a Friedrich unit. Figure the combo should be a breeze to install. It was terrible. No instructions with sleeve. the way the grille attaches is very flawed (you basically pin it with screws). No clue what to do with plastic piece in the picture and Friedrich wouldn't respond to my support inquiries.

Good quality

Seems to be good quality. Was expecting it to fit the air conditioner tighter. And no instructions were provided with the sleeve.

Generic Sleeve

Generic sleeve. Not a mated, easy fit for Friedrich Uni-Fit 10,000 BTU Air Conditioner. Seems shorter than it needs to be causing AC to extend well into room.
