Friedrich in wall

Same model lasted 5 operating months. Owned it for 13 months. Lost freon. Warm air. Luckily purchased PC Richard extended warranty. It was not repairable and replaced by PC Richard. I'll try again with this new unit. I am stuck with this brand due to the size of the opening in the wall. Get the extended PC Richard warranty. And I am not a extended warranty guy

Friedrich Has Let Us Down

The first one fritzed out on us within a day. The second does the job most of the time, but is significantly less powerful than the 8K BTU Friedrich we had for 15 years. The install guys confirmed that the units are less efficient and powerful today than they were a decade ago. Ridiculous. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Loud

The product does it’s job in cooling the room, but it is significantly louder and noisier than the other models we own.

Review of 2 Friedrich Chill Premier Series 8,000 B

I purchased 2 Units from PC Richards. Remote controls are hard to work. Need to press power on/off button on remote for multiple times to make it work. If the remote is not directly facing the unit, it will not work. Labels on the Unit and on the remote are hard to read. If had I not got it installed already, I would have returned both units.

It’s a bit nosier than I anticipated. The fan setting feels useless in my opinion, doesn’t feel like it makes much of a difference. It’s okay.

Noisy

On a positive note, PC Richards was awesome. Now for the review on the A/C.

Drowning

This AC leaks a lot of water outdoors. I know it normal to have some drainage from AC’s. But this unit drains much more in my opinion.

Worst a/c on market

I bought 2 of them 3 years ago both broke this July what a piece of junk if i didn’t have sleeve in wall already would have bought a different brand pure garbage

Terrible Brand

Originally purchased in 2021 with a 5 year extended warranty. It's been replaced 3 times since due to " freon leaking out". Friedrich is not what they used to be.

Would not recommend!

I was disappointed with this product. It was installed in the wall in my bedroom. I set it on econo mode, low fan and I only turn it on at night. When the AC turns on, the motor is so loud & the unit also rattles! I have to turn it off after a few hours because it interrupts my sleep.

Fits my space and is working very well.

So far so good. This unit replaced previous unit that stopped working one month prior to warranty expiration date. Thank goodness. P.C Richards replaced unit without any drama.

I bought in May 2023 and in July 2024 I'm in the market for a new AC because this one no longer cools. Warranty sucks too, but I hear that's common.

Cools extra-large room as desired. Quiet and fits in the window where intended. Sq footage approximately 450.

Loudest air conditioner I have ever owned!

This is the LOUDEST air conditioner that I have ever owned. It gets the job done but is not the same quality as the Friedrich window air conditioners I have purchased in the past (this is the fourth one I have purchased). I am very disappointed with this product.

Worst AC

The worst AC ever! I’m on my second one after the first one died after 1 summer! Also it is so very confusing trying to set the tent!

Friedrich A/C

This is replacement for first window unit I purchased 36 years ago, and the first Friedricks product. You can't beat the Friedricks, it may cost more but you can't beat quality. My only comment is Friedrich should review their instruction book a little better. This will most likely be last purchase of window unit, as we are going to Friedrich Mini Split system for entire house

Cold but LOUD

This unit cools well but the volume of the fan motor is LOUD. I am finding it very hard to get used to.
